#nhl #newyorkrangers #artemipanarin #igorshesterkin #mikazibanejad #nyr #rangers #alexislafreniere #adamfox #jtmiller #bradenschneider #johnathanquick #gabeperreault #drewfortescue #dylanroobroeck #brennanothmann #maximbarbashev #brycemcconnellbarker #willcuylle #brettberard #matthewrobertson #noahlaba #adamsykora #adamedstrom #jacksondorrington #jaroslavchmelar #mattrempe #brodylamb #callumtung #hugoollas #talynboyko #dylangarand #chrisdrury #peterlaviolette #hartfordwolfpack #nhlnetwork #nhlnews #nhlnewstoday #malcolmspence #seanbarnhill #artyomgonchar #mikkeleriksen #zeblindgren #evanpassmore #felixfarhammar #vladislavgarvikov #taylorraddysh #scottmorrow

The Hockey Gods have given the Rangers a legitimate chance to seriously start tanking and aim for that number one pick. I hate that it came at the expense of Igor and Fox getting hurt but it's part of the game. Injuries can't always be avoid, even more so when you're playing a physical sport. But lets face it, they aren't playing for anything this season. So they should attempt to sell off some players, get some more draft capital for the loaded draft class. With Igor an Fox going down for an extended period of time. Drury has a real reason to start tanking, without getting any push back from Dolan.
James Dolan is a brain dead moron & Dreary is a useless incompetent. Quick is not going to be traded. Rangers will get precious little for Soucy, Raddysh etc. And NOBODY wants Connor Sheary. Why would they? They can trade off Othmann, Berard, Garand etc. & get who knows what. Maybe even Perreault! I mean the Rangers could just gut the team & become the Sharks & suck & get top draft picks for 3 or 4 years & then explode into a contender. Dolan says we need to be patient after all. Like yogurt it takes time to build a "culture." I think Dreary has some incriminating photos of Dolan. I mean what else can explain this blind faith in our esteemed GM?
A number of teams have suffered numerous and plentiful injuries to key players. Tampa Bay was without a number of players – and still was winning. Others fold and fade. so what's the difference?
Reason why the Rangers are endangered – they weren't consistent WITH these guys. How many stellar goalie performances have been squandered by an offense that doesn't score this year?
Plus when a team with no fight/no grit/no snarl allows goalies to be run game after game…their rookies pounded… cheap shots taken – – – with almost ZERO fight – – – why surprise at the injuries?
Instead of simply cheap tanking/quitting…. go another way.
Broad Street Bullies II, except in NY. Call up Fitzgerald, Mackay, Chmelar, Roobroek,
We'll still lose – but the games will be great to watch. Far better than either the apathy or quit we see now.
Is the culture in the room with us?
Fox is young and he’s hurt all the time. What’s his early 39’s going to be like
The new culture is lame so far. With Fox becoming very fragile do the Rangers buy him out this off season? Great move playing Vaakanainen the other night?
Dolan is clueless pathetic owner
been watching the Rangers for 47 years. For James Dolan to talk about "culture" is hilarious. Dolan doesn't know hockey. He canned Gorton who is now forging an exciting and young team in Montreal and JD who is a club legend. We had Hank for how many years and never won a Cup? we are now well into the prime of Igor's career and I don't see any kind of long term project in place and well onto our way of wasting another Vezina winner's career. That's an unforgivable sin, you can't get blessed with two goalies of that caliber and waste them like this. I's shutdown Fox and Igor, let Quick and Garand finish the season and sell as many pieces as possible who arent any kind of long term solution. I'd even trade Trochek and create team profile and concept that is clear and attainable to start building towards. The problem is that Dolan wants to buy free agents who make a splash and sells tickets and merch. The Rangers are a graveyard for young talent, this has been true my entire life time as a Ranger fan. I cannot think of a single Ranger who was a 1st round draft pick and developed into a core piece. And before you say Kreider he was jerked around so much and his development stunted becasue Tortorella needed to make a statement about work ethic and character and all the happy horseshite he used to bleat on about. The Rangers, as much as it pains me to say it, and this goes for MSG as a whole, is an unserious organization. They are the Man United of hockey minus the heritage. James Dolan refused to fire Issaiah Thomas when it was revealed that he was a sex pest and a monster to work for and Dolan flat out said he liked Zeke and he wasn't going anywhere. Dolan says Drury is safe, but he is only as safe as playoff ticket revenues are high. So if the Rangers miss the playoffs again, and for the team's sake I hope they do, then Drury will know that his position is not secure. Look, I have watched a lot of terrible Ranger teams. I lived through the post 1994 tumult and the Colin Campbell doldrums and waste of time that was Tom Renny, but the Rangers are a spiritually broken term right now. They play scared all the time. The moment they give up a goal they fold. but worst of all they are boring! If they put on a good performance and leaned into it, I would take that and say "atleast they're fighting for it." But last year and this year, nah. nope. this is the first time in my life where I don't have a favorite Ranger on the team. I don't enjoy watching the brand of hockey Sullivan trots out night after night of trying to win 2-1 in today's NHL. I know sullivan didn't want to stick around Pittsburg for a rebuild…but that is what the Rangers need to do. They need to forge a new core and I have no reason to think Drury can assemble the right shopping list and even if he could I have even less of a reason to think Sullivan will execute upon such a plan.
