It’s weird to hyper focus on Stanley, you point out flames are trading Anderson, he is their best defender. Vancouver traded Hughes, and you point out bad record as a normal reason to make decisions like this but you avoid talking about Morrissey for some reason. Talk about lemons for 5 mins instead.

Assuming Salo is healthy I have no doubt the Jets will paper him down on deadline day so he is eligible for the AHL playoffs. So even if he finishes the season on the NHL roster there’s a good chance he does play games for the Moose again

You need 40 games played for your season to count towards accruing enough for arbitration and FA. So it is possible the Jets have set this up to maximize his NHL experience while ensuring cost control moving forward.

And solid take by lyss, lhd bottom pairing dman are one of the easiest positions to replace. If we lock him up, that officially blocks are top prospects on the blue line (the sweedes)

Stanley sells tickets. So what’s your suggestion for replacing the toughness Stanley Brings or does Lowry fight everybody now? This team is instantly soft without Stanley and you’re not gonna replace what he does with an AHL or another ageing tough guy. Stanley has become an effective player with a big shot.
Good points by both of you. Andersson not being kept around and is a much better player than Stanley. Hes having a good offensive year but will be hard pressed to ever repeat and the fact remains he still struggles in coverage and his own end. Sell while his value is high! Thanks for the content
