That offer for Sherwood is a perfect example of Drury's incompetence!! He loves rentals, maybe he thinks Sherwood is the last piece needed for the Cup. As for Panarin trade, I live in fear that Drury will get completely hosed by a wily GM. Nice to see Othmann get his first goal. He has a hell of a shot. Sullivan should keep that line together for the rest of the season, but who knows if he will. After Panarin goes, switch Laf to the LW & bring up Berard, who is playing really well at Hartford. Those kids should have been playing from the start in a transition year.

How can a GM that was a player not comprehend just how damaging "leaks", rumors and letters are to morale?
Do we know who the Rangers were going to get rid of? Bet it would have been the wrong player to lose.
This team resembles a bunch of pieces from diffferent jigsaw puzzles – pieces don't fit and don't form a picture.
How can the management that crashed the truck be expected to fix the truck?
Capitals are looking hard for a scoring winger. Think the Canes are too.
These teams see a Stanley Cup within reach – Rangers should net a king's ransom. Emphasis on "should".
Team has Mika, Fox, Shesty, Miller, Laba, Gavrikov… that's a good start.

The New York hockey (club) needs to find a way to play like a team so they can win games. What has to be done is grabbing draft picks for a trade with panarin not some player in the league that could be a decent player… panarin is not replaceable. This only frees up a spot on the top 6 which honestly laffy should move back to left wing and a guy like cuylle needs to be given the steering wheel not buried in the bottom 6 like this team keeps doing.
Having a good goalie and only building around that is a horrible way to run a team and Ranger fans should know that more than most. Also a great way to stay just good enough to not be terrible and miss out on real high end draft talent.
And yes, that is just the type of totally stupid move Drury would have pulled off quite happily. Fortunately that won't be happening now, we think.
