Definitely not rasmus lol
I've said before, I'd love for the sharks to go after Maveric Lamoureux
Demers advocating for trading for Stanley and putting him on the PP was a pretty bizarre listen. Talking about his 8 goals when his shooting percentage is 16.7% which is over 3 times higher than his career average. Talking about putting him on the PP when his puck moving is brutal and he's only played 13 minutes on the PP in his entire career. Just very bizarre stuff.
Knowing that what we miss Schaefer by a bit last draft, if they could make a splash at this year draft and trade up in the top 5 for Chase Reid that would be amazing
I'm a bit surprised by the 'need' for a partner for Adam Fox. He's been terrific with a running cast if partners for several years.
Not as familiar with Schneider though. Do agree, trades need to solve longer term issues, not this season.
For MIsa, he's 18. He's built like an 18 year old. And it shows.
David Reinbacher is a stretch but could make sense since he is stuck in Laval rn
They have a 21yr old in pohlkamp who if he plays the same amount of games this year as last, 44, he would be on pace for 25 goals this season which makes him a hobby baker finalists plus scored 2 goals in the spangler cup he was the best player on that selects team against professionals many ex nhlers he will be a mainstay for the sharks…Du website list him at 5'11" 210 and he was physical as all get out in the spangler cup against big professionals 102.1 mph 1time bomb on one of his goals…what a pick by Grier
Please no Sherwood. Instead of wasting assets on a bottom 6 player that who's age doesn't even fit the timeline of the Sharks, Grier should be focused on using their assets on acquiring a top 4 D. If there isn't one available at the moment you stay patient and wait for the right opportunity, no need to force a trade as the team's "true" contention window is still a few years away. Hamilton is an excellent stopgap and would immediately be our top RHD and helps us reach the floor for 2 seasons and comes off the books right before we have to pay Misa+Dickinson. If we are looking for D that fit our timeline, there aren’t many options available at the moment and I agree that Byram/Power are attractive options that make sense. IF the Sharks are looking to trade for forwards they should be in the 21-27 age range and are a proven top 6 (or better) forward. Kyrou for example is an interesting buy low target. PS: Different regime but man is taking Eklund over Clarke and Guenther not looking great.
In Dougies defense, San Jose had just finished last in the league for the second year in a row. He probably just wants to try and play for a team that’s in playoffs.
the horny list should include teams with issues, 1) morrissey since WPG is down. then 2) hronek? VAN is rebuilding so a bit surprising he's not mentioned. since you mentioned Brady, 3) Sanderson is the real target on D. Sanderson is ideal and more gettable than Dahlin with OTT seeming having issues but neither are likely.
Buffalo isn't likely to trade now altho Byram might be available offseason with his contract only 1 year left altho Power is nice get too but he's more than 8m per year. Easily trade Eklund in package for either imo. A top 9 winger vs top 4 D even if LD.
To defend Keegan, I see his comp of Bysted with younger Wennberg. CBJ Wennberg was how Sheng described Bysted, soft, tweener and wont shoot. Bysted could follow that path with PO experience and muscles so I wouldn't just give him away even if need more time. he still fits timeline compared to Sherwood. Lund, Musty are behind Bysted imo, Hope to see Bysted gets a chance with big club. He's more ready than Misa now imo but draft position…
In summary I'd rather be patient this year, get LSW and Pohlkamp in camp next year to see how they fit, instead of making a big splash unless a young long term RD is available which doesn't seem to be the case.
Brent Burns was such a great move by Doug Wilson.
Carolina won the cup without a true #1 offensive defenseman
A few good defensemen shake loose in trades every year. You can’t force availability on the other side. The Sharks are the probably still the team with the best combination of assets and cap space. If they wait it out, the Sharks’ assets will only look better. In another year, GMs will be offering the moon for Ravensbergen.
Love that JD called out what I’ve always noticed, those damn drapes😂
Fucking Vegas with Rasmus Andersson
Been on the Sharks playoff bandwagon since the end of November 😎
Demers is top quality content. Have him on as much as humanly possible
