I don’t know, I felt he looked great through the first 11-12 games. He was playing good hockey, winning tons of faceoffs, and putting up a point pace that was matching or even exceeding Ehlers in Carolina.
When he looked bad the whole team looked bad.
The whole team seems like they just turn it on and off. Maybe we want to sneak into the wildcard rather than win a Presidents Trophy and save the good hockey and gas tank for the cup run lol.

I’d like the see all the people that were saying he’s THE reason the Jets were playing the way they were before this recent streak.
I excuse his extreme potential pay as eye candy to Ehlers saying “look we got you a 2C”, but he was obviously never someone to carry or lead the team…
He was supposed to compliment what we were and provide experience in the gritty and weak spots as a veteran, obviously knowing he won’t be as good as he was, we just never expected WE would get this bad, his performance following suit being old now
