  1. Pretty cool to see some new teams/players in the 3 Stars of the Week! Stoked on the Sherwood trade 👍

  2. Chytil should not be allowed on the ice anymore , the concussion histoy of the guy is just scarry at this point 5 since october 2022. He will end up a veggie with CTE or parkinson.

  3. Sherwood won the trade. Canucks are going nowhere, until EP40 is gone. I apologize for the disrespect, but I’m so tired of his play and the organization.

  4. Although it may be sad the Canucks have to say goodbye to a rather physical player in Kiefer Sherwood, that they received some draft picks for having traded him away is better than letting him walk for nothing come July.

  5. "We are not going to start on the top to the board & that is not usually how it is done" –

  6. Canucks are doing what they need to do,but Canucks management & ownership being Canucks management & ownership, in the end will screw up what started right.

  7. Not NHL related, but a couple big events occurred in the PWHL today as well.

    1. Taylor Girard of the NY Sirens (no relation to former NHLer Samuel Girard, by the looks of things) was suspended 4 games for leaving the bench during an altercation in I believe last night's game against the MTL Victoire.

    2. The Ottawa Charge and Vancouver Goldeneyes have completed the biggest trade in PWHL history (even though this is only the third year of the league's existence), which involves six players.
Ottawa adds forward Michela Cava, forward Brooke McQuigge, and defensewoman Emma Greco (all former Cup champions with Minnesota. Greco two years ago, McQuigge last year, Cava in both years).
Vancouver adds Anna Shokhina, Mannon McMahon, and Anna Meixner, all forwards.

  8. An obviously heart & soul player; reminded me of one of the Canucks royalty, Stan Smyl. Hope he BLOOMS even further and stays in San Jose! Thank you for your short but great time in Vancouver, Kiefer! (I see him playing with and protecting the smaller Will Smith on a 2nd Line, over getting to play with Celebrini; that would STILL be great, though!)

  9. Sherwood is gonna be such an awesome addition to the vet group in San Jose. Love to see it.

  10. You have to be happy for Sherwood. He played himself onto a better team. His skill and effort would be wasted in Vancouver this season. They should play all the prospects as much as possible. Hopefully Pettersson is next – although that is probably unlikely with that insane contract.

  11. Good return for Sherwood. We got him for free, grabbed a couple 2nd rounders while he was having a career year, and San Jose gets a dynamic player that makes them better. Would I have loved 1st rounders? Of course, but it was never going to happen unless he kept scoring at an insane pace all the way to the deadline.

  12. I thought the wild was gonna pull this off and acquire Sherwood. Maybe panarin might be a wild, I have to say that’s exciting to see. The wild have been fun to watch

  13. While you're at it Vancouver, please trade Aatu Raty to Tampa — thanks in advance 😘

  14. I like this trade for both teams being a Sharks fan. Sharks get a physical scorer for the middle six while not having to give up anything too major and Canucks get a solid haul for someone that likely wouldn't have netted a third at the start of the year

  15. Whitecloud was averaging about 17 mins on a very good VGK, he can definitely play 2nd pairing here, on the defensive size – pair him with Weegar or maybe Parekh!

  16. Zach Whitecloud is an all-class human and of course he would say that he's excited about playing in Calgary, BUT…as a Vegas fan, I will say that he loved it here. He spent summers here. (And if you've ever spent summers in Vegas, you know that it takes a special kind of human to exist in this valley in July.) I am still heartbroken that he's not on the Vegas bench. Once a Knight, always a Knight. Zach Whitecloud will always be one of the OGs. I hope he comes back to play in the B4V softball tourney this summer.

  17. Kiefer Sherwood is a clean hitter and in my opinion, a "fluid" hitter. He doesn't often take himself out of the play. He hits and moves on

  18. i understand that Sherwood's number was 44 in vancouver, but to see the number 44 listed on the sharks roster and have it not be Vlasic and its the first season without him on the roster is kinda wild to me as a Sharks fan. excited to see Sherwood join the Sharks and provide more physical play, would agree its one of the things they need.
