I’d rather the Wings trade for Whitecloud instead of Dougie Hamilton. Less AAV and excellent defensive defenseman. If they do trade for Hamilton, it’s not the worst move that could be made but I’d prefer that New Jersey retains some salary.
Trade 2 unprotected 1st rounders, 2 2nd rounders, Compher and Mazur for Robert Thomas, Colton Parayko and Justin Faulk!
32 games. 15-12-5= 99 points. Doesnt matter who they beat along the way. If they can get to 99 points they should have a playoff spot locked up. We need a defenseman bare minimum.

With as well as the team is meshing, I'm not sure they would be upset about no trades. A trade for another player means one (or more) of the current players being gone. And as Carolina found out with Rantenen last year, there's no guarantee the new guy is going to fit in no matter how great he is…
