This is why I personally haven't really celebrated Matthews nice play the last couple of games. The good games shouldn't be the outliers, the bad ones should be. Guys, is this Matthews now?

I think Matthews is just tired of playing in Toronto…Marner took a ton of hate and eventually just wanted out…I think Matthews hit that point.

Yes. The Maple lLeafs booed Marner every time he touched the puck! Vegas cheered for Roy! We cheer for all our old players where they return to The Fortress ! We will also be cheering for Austin Matthews in the Olympics. Team USA

I don't get why the Leafs fans boo'd Marner. We welcome our former players back. Marchy gets a slightly colder shoulder because he ran his mouth (not surprisingly), but no boo birds last night when we played (with) the MAGAs, errrr, Predators last night.
To use Steve’s argument…well…against him (just using logic here), Mitch, on a different team, showed up on this one. I think you have to consider the common factor here: the club. The attitude, the program, the roles players are slotted into, the coaching, and the fans. Specifically the shitty couch warriors (cough..Steve…cough) who are constantly surrounding this team with toxic rhetoric and trying to play coach with a keyboard.
If you want to be a passionate fan, use your platform to show leafs nation how not to be whinny, jersey tossing trolls. Support your team.
Marner…well earned two points. And he seems pretty happy where he is. Win or lose.
