Look at Bouch on this play!! Completely ignores the guy coming on his side!! Bouch is horrendous on defense! Great on a power play but anything else he’s a disaster!

Not a Cup year, sorry. I think by now the team should be clicking at a higher rate than they are without any major issues. Obviously they are allowed to have a bad game here and there but I think the concerns we'd have all year keep coming back a bit too often. They can't be be putting in the kind of effort we've seen the past few games at this point of the season. If you fall behind 3 goals that fast, then for the most part disappear the rest of the game, good luck fighting in the playoffs against teams that are actually good.
Just don't make any dumb trades thinking we can win the cup this year at the expense of next year, please.
I mean I agree with you when you say I’d rather be the oilers the last few years than a dominant regular season team. But I would have used the Hurricanes as the example. As a neutral fan, I’d rather be the Avs than the Oilers the last three years. At least they’ve won a cup. So I think that’s a bad take on the Avs. Yea they’ve been bounced the last couple but no one can take away the fact that McKinnon has 1 cup win still. I think anyone would take those 3 years over the oilers making back to back cups and losing.
To say both teams, meaning the panthers and oilers, had their flaws last year is kind of just wrong. Your analogies are way off in this video. The Floridas flaws essentially were that they weren’t healthy. Everyone knew they would be by playoff time and they weren’t healthy. Edmontons flaws aren’t about injuries, it’s the players outside Mcdavid and Leon. Way different. And I wouldn’t even call Floridas flaws, it was injuries to their best players. That’s not what’s happening with Edmonton. And I know injuries are apart of the game but I still will say that’s not a flaw, it’s unfortunate circumstances.
