The reason why Stolarz didn't get any games in with the Marlies was bc some goalies don't like getting games in the minors bc they will say it messes with their timing. The level a play is very different. Some goalies don't care but some do. I'm guessing that's why he didn't play. Also, they kind of used him as a scape goat. If they lost just blame the goalie. He hasn't played in awhile.

Historically take a look at Matthew's. When he shows up on time the rest of the team responds. When Matthew's is out the team steps up and responds minus Reilly. When Matthew's is dog shit so is the majority of the team

Let’s be honest. Since the Stollie post game comments earlier this season the Leafs haven’t played good for him. Maybe same thing would have happened with other 2 goalies but falling in a 2 zip hole was not the start needed. In relation to the LFR today. I agree unload. But problem is ones you need to unload can’t be unloaded. I would rather Stollie started against Avalanche. There was too much emotion tied to this game, at least from fans And VGK to throw him into this game.
