1. It makes sense that San Jose pulled the trigger, most likely they offered more then the others. Just look at the standings in the Pacific, there are 4 teams at 51 points all fighting for that #3 spot. Bringing in a guy like Sherwood is how you reward your team. He will be dearly missed in Vancouver and San Jose fans are in for a treat because this guy is so fun to watch on the ice. He plays hard and heavy hockey which is something young guys can't do and he is looking in his absolute prime of his career with a lot left in the tank.

  2. They treated him now because he’s expecting a child in a couple of months. Apparently he wants to get settled down where however he goes

  3. $1,500,000 cap hit, career high in scoring, league leading/competing for hits. Kiefer Sherwood, at any age, is pure fire in a deep playoff run and any team getting him wouldn't take issue with dropping a first at Allvin's doorstep. He was worth a first, trade deadline or not 👎

  4. Love the Davos cap!! I got mine last winter in Davos. I was wearing it the other day walking through the SJ Sharks Ice facility when Joe Thornton stopped me and said "nice hat", we ended up discussing how awesomely beautiful Switzerland is.

  5. Wild trade proposal:
    Debrusk & Markus Pettersson
    To Edm
    For
    Mangiapane, Nurse, 2026 2nd, 2027 1st, 2028 1st

  6. Both the video's title headline and thumbnail are poorly worded. They're both missing a word. They read "…How the Kiefer Sherwood came together…" The Kiefer Sherwood what? A noun is missing. They should read "…the Keifer Sherwood deal (or trade) came together…". Doesn't anyone bother to proofread these things before posting the video?

  7. An obviously heart & soul player; reminded me of one of the Canucks royalty, Stan Smyl. Hope he BLOOMS even further and stays in San Jose! Thank you for your short but great time in Vancouver, Kiefer! (I see him playing with and protecting the smaller Will Smith on a 2nd Line, over getting to play with Celebrini; that would STILL be great, though!)

  8. Sherwood's an amazing player, but unfortunately he's close to his 30's and the Canucks are no where near contending, so it makes no sense to keep him long term at $4-5mil/season times 6-8yrs…

  9. I strongly when it comes to Petey. He has never played up to his contract and never will plus when he's pushed he doesn't get better he gets worse.
