Darche gets back the 3rd rounder he gave up for Soucy, gets back a veteran in Palatt , and only loses Tsyplakov, who was a healthy scratch most nights. I can’t complain about these 2 deals.

Palat has been terrible with NJ. Maybe a change in scenery will make a difference for him.
We needed this because Ondrej SUCKS
Palatt thrives in the playoffs! Soucy does make sense as a big guy somewhat physical defensive defenseman. We get what will likely be a higher 3 rd rd pick a 6 th and a guy who thrives in the playoffs! This is a good move.
They got Soucy for free, since they got the 3rd pick back
