  1. Kotkaniemi needs to be FREED from Carolina! Rod was a MID player and that’s all he can produce!
Send him to the OILERS as their 3C!
Send him to the Avs, they are looking for a 3C. They keep holding on and it makes absolutely no sense just to scratch him. Rod is 100% out to ruin him. Who cares what they get in return! FREE KK.

  2. Really PISSES me off that Nikishin was included in the damn offer for Hughes. Rod is an absolute moron.

  3. One other thing, Rod spoke in his press conference that KK had decisions to make about “what he wants to do” – exactly what does that mean? He wants OUT so let him GO. Stop holding onto him to be Rod’s whipping boy. Rod is a complete moron and he’s CONSISTENTLY said that KK needed to stop trying to score and when he did – that’s when his point production dropped off.

If the player is that “worthless” then STOP looking for a HUGE return for Kotkaniemi- let him go for a pic!

  4. So it kind of makes it sound like the rumor is true then, no? Elliotte didnt say "this isnt true from what I know" "its absolutely a false rumor" etc. he just said "whether its true or not…" that makes it sound like the rumor is true and hes heard the same thing, he just hasnt reported on it because he thinks its totally inappropriate to do so and include families in drama that comes out to the public.

Either way the Sens are cooked and they may be forced to trade some guys out of there.

  5. Elliotte is saying players should request trades because internet trolls make up rumours? Interesting perspective lol

  6. Can someone explain to a person who doesn’t have Twitter what this Ullmark rumour is? I can’t find it anywhere…

  7. I understand Elliot's argument vis-a-vis family. That said, part of the unwritten rules of celebrity is that when you guys choose to put yourselves in the public eye, this is part of it. If you don't want your family exposed to this stuff, don't be in the public eye. I feel like the millions of dollars they make (especially with how bad the economy is right now) is the tradeoff. Don't want the attention? Don't put yourself there.

  8. Andlauer should ask Staois to step down of his roles effectively immediately for this statement or fire him. He just made a total mess that is going to bite them in the A. When you are not transparent and keep everything closed door, you create an untrustworthy relationship with your fan base. You opened the doors to speculations by releasing this statement, and the rumors mills are now running wild, and now as reach the international scene. This as gone sideways so fast and is only heading for a wall. Felt like Staois was making it more personal then anything else. Time for him to go away from the organization.

  9. Craig Carton ran with the Ullmark story this afternoon on his radio show on WFAN in New York, so there you go…. no surprise, right?

  10. Alexander is correct about the Gordie Howe and Standard Hat Trick. There should be four total goals to complete both hat tricks. The analysis provided was correct.

  11. On Ottawa – It’s absolutely hilarious that this team is a bottom 5 team in the league. Last year the 7 Sens fans were chanting the rebuild was over, after 8 years they were back!! Now heading to another 8+ year rebuild, without a first round pick this year 😂😂😂

As for the whole cheating scandal, it’s no secret that the majority of NHL players sleep around on the road. Having said that, you have classy players like a Suzuki and then clowns like Brady Tkachuk, he would sleep with any dude that lets him.

  12. Whoever will watch hockey will watch hockey in United States. Those who don't, won't watch it anyway. So this planning games around football is silly.

  13. The number of escorts around roadtrip players hotel is substantial.
Ullmark being both very swedish and ethical might have made a stance on the issue, not having it any more.
In Sweden any kind of prostitution is looked down upon as being not only illegal bit also very unethical.
Sweden still has a lot of prostitution and not everyone think it's unethical.

  14. Seems really odd that one random internet comment would cause him to take leave and for the team to make a statement. You realize how many comments are made online and nothing happens?

  15. Wtf is Elliot talking about? As if the team is responsible and the players should ask for a trade? What a brutal take. Should be apologizing to the organization

  16. Here's the problem. Steve Staios needs to man up and be transparent as to what's going on. Every loss without justification for Linus' absence is angering the fan base. Sens fans have a big heart. Look at when Craig Anderson had to step away. Management was honest from day one and every sens fan had sympathy for Craig. If it is mental health, every single sens fan would be on board. As someone that struggles with mental health, transparency to everyone – fans, teammates, family is what is essential. If the sens are serious about quieting the rumours they would be transparent about what is going on. Right now, whats going on is Steve Staios is throwing Linus under the bus due to his lack of transparency

  17. Wasn’t familiar with rumours until Googling, so perhaps I am missing something. Unless the thought was that his teammates leaked these, what would it achieve to go
Into the management office and say ‘I didn’t sign up for this. I’m outta here.’ Unless of course, he means quitting hockey? Riddle me that

  18. CAR thinks they have what they need – loving Kotkaniemi has nothing to do with improving their roster because he’s 10000 better than Jankowski or Philp.

  19. You have to invente your self, first, be a kind person, Chris Drury from outside, i see you not friendly, not gentle, not sympathique with players, most of Insiders that i hear, watch, listen, read, analyse and which i observe every day, is saying about you Chris Drury that you are not a warm-hearted or a good person. They say that you are not generous, you are not amicable, Insider in hockey like Renaud Lavoie from TVA Sports, Chris Johnston from TSN, Elliotte Friedman from Sportsnet even the young man Kyle Bukauskas the hockey rinksider from Sportsnet and from 32 thoughts hockey podcast are saying not exactly what i am saying but they are close to my opinion if i was the owner of New York Rangers hockey team like James Lawrence Dolan, i fire, dismiss, to discharge; to end the employment or service of Chris Drury tomorrow morning. Be alittle friendly, generally warm, approachable and easy to relate with in every day life, you look from outside 100× complicated than Marc Bergevin was or had been with Montreal Canadiens during his 10 years tenure.
