Leafs were only good the past ten years and making the playoffs every year is because Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo and Montreal were all awful. That has changed now. They all have better rosters. Younger, faster and more mobile defencemen. Leafs need to rebuild, trade 34 and 88 for prospects and picks, and draft stud D. They need to build from the net out. Build a rock star defence core and then add the forwards. We need an experienced GM this time who has a great draft record.
Great show guys people blame Willy but remember one thing I have been watching the leafs for 54 years and about 5 years ago i said Mitch was a bad and spoiled player now I can tell you Willy will lift the cup for the leafs.

Half the things Treliving is dealing with were inherited, no? Marner's no trade? He walks we get nothing and Morgan Rielly was given a full no-movement clause (NMC). A no-movement clause is even stronger than a no-trade clause — it covers trades and assignments/waivers. Dubas did this and it handcuffed the next guy. Treliving addressed the main problem of the Leafs – being too soft – and brought in some tougher role players, The fact that Rielly is slow and lame and that Matthews has gone MIA is the main Achilles of this team. Notice the Leafs seem to play as a unit when Willie and Papi are not in the lineup?
I'm Colorado fan but you guys are absolutely hysterical…& so spot on about the Leafs. I can't miss you guys after a bad Leafs loss though-i can't stop laughing but it's all so true.😅
Sens won and Jackets won last night, both passing Toronto now. That puts Toronto at 14th in the East. Sell, sell, sell. I hear OEL and Laughton want to go to Columbus. Maybe trade them for a few picks (from a hopeful Jackets fan.)

Evan Gold the assistant GM of Bruins would make a great GM for the leafs. Bring in Chris Kelly and just go youth movement for the next couple years. It will probably be more entertaining than anything you've seen in the last three years.
