Pretty embarrassing effort from Larkin in the shootout. You just knew he was going to miss too. He ain’t the guy for the big moment. McLellan putting Kane back on PP2 in the second period was maybe the single worst act against Kane that he has made. Just shocking. He’s probably gonna go to hell for what he’s doing.
This team plays such ugly hockey, man. I really feel like our record is just a result of grit, good performances by individuals, and luck. I would not be surprised if the Avs absolutely destroy us, they'll be hungry for a win.
people need to realize the wings likely won't make a trade because chris illitch is a cheap ass. He is offering skubal not even a top 30 salary for pitchers this year. Skubal is asking to be the 7th highest paid despite being the best pitcher the last 2 years. Chris has to pay his wife a shit ton of money because of their divorce.
This team is gonna get trampled and passed by after the Olympic break. Teams like TB, BUF, and MTL are chomping at the bit to take our place. What do they all have in common? Competent leadership from the GM on down to the captain of the team. We have an aging senile legend at GM, and a "captain" who cares more about the Olympics than his own hockey club. Deserved loss and didn't even deserve the flukey point they got. Second game they've looked lazy and lethargic. 5 on 5 this team is still terrible. And IF they make the Play-Offs they won't get so many PowerPlays either. Larkin has been garbage for the last months or so. But his fanboys will say he's an elite player. Guy honestly cannot carry the puck or stick handle. He's a turnover machine. Tonight was too much about pandering to Kane. While I'm pleased he got the record, I'm also sick of it being all about Patrick Kane since he joined. Gibson was off tonight but first time in while he's been off his game. Yzerman needs to get some scoring help and a couple of D men.
The two teams that need the Olympic break the most are about to play a back to back against each other. Who knows what's going to happen? Still second in the division, we haven't hit 70 points in the standings this quickly in quite a long time. Playoffs are still in sight. Here comes March with only 3 games left before the stupid Olympic break with a whole 4 games to play in all of February. Now the Wings are tanking to drop out of the playoffs for the 10th year straight! 😡😡😡
All you guys that piss and moan after the wings fight back getting two 6 on 5 goals in the last minutes of the game is nonsense. They're only two points behind the Lightning, and you complain like they're in last place. You sound worse than that clown 'ariz'.
