If the jets do make a trade who would you want? I seen talks of Shane Wright but I don’t know how true that is, what would the package for Wright look like and would you want him on the team?

  2. Even IF let's say the Jets backed into the playoffs….they would be quickly dispatched by the Avs quickly without much resistance.

  3. I want the jets to tear apart pretty much every line but the first forward line and the first d line and just fill this team with kids, Montreal has been a phenomenal story to follow along with and the jets absolutely need to get something like that going while we have all our stars on pretty good long term deals

  4. The Jets will NOT make the playoffs. A total collapse. Let a better player leave than what was brought in. This is one of the poorest managed team in the NHL.

  5. Every rebuild has to start with acceptance. Let's hope Jets ownership can see that.

We don't even need a FULL rebuild. We just need to develop our youth for one or two years and we can get back to competing (until Hellebuyck is out of his prime.)

  6. When was the last time the Jets had a rookie in the line up, that's right…never. when is the last time they selected a WHL player in the early rounds…thats right never.

  7. My theory is that the Jets org will change their actions after the Olympic break. They have a core signed long-term and they don't want to make those guys mad by giving up on them too soon. Over the break they will have to let these guys know that they did what they could to provide a chance to make the playoffs, but for the good of the future of the team, they need to trade some players before the deadline and bring up some Moose players as replacements and to get them NHL experience.

  8. With the majority of the core being youngish we should try a quick 1-2 season retool. Get what u can at the deadline and try to flip some of the assets for impactful roster players like Kyrou or Wright (I think wright would be a rly good fit in Winnipeg). Keep our first round pick this year but try and get 2 picks before the deadline and try to get something with them. Hopefully we can pick one of McKenna or Stenberg this year too

  9. Are you serious? Season was over at the November marker. It truly started when chevy brought in mediocre players in the off season. NOW they’re screwing themselves out of a top pick. It’s also CHEVY and CHIPMAN’s pride that’s their own enemy. Chevy failing to admit he screwed up letting 27 go for nothing, and Chipman’s LOYALITY to Chevy, even after 15yrs NO CUP no true results. Chipman needs a change of guard and take this jets team ANOTHER direction. There’s always an excuse every yr at the end. “Oh this happened, or he was out, he was hurt, this and that. Same crap. NEED a channge

  10. Don’t stop competing but don’t kid yourselves either. Keep the core, trade the chaff, bring in the young guns to cut their teeth. I thought Toews was signed to center for speedy young wingers that needed a mentor.

  11. Jets fans refuse to believe that Gary Bettman will not allow this team to ever win a Stanley Cup,
