Come on Stevie! A top 4 D , get them acclimated during Olympic break to the team and system. An add to the top line be nice too. Either a top line winger, or true second line Center! 3 years now and nothing! Don't let the wheels fall off again this year. Larks will quit, Kane will, the whole group will!
as of today's practice, Travis Hamonic is still in the defensive lineup.
the Wings this year are 10-10-3 w Hamonic in the lineup (22-7-3 wo him in the lineup). The Wings only have 6 regulation wins in 23 games this year when Hamonic plays.
besides the defense, the 5v5 offense usually completely disappears when he plays.
and most of that was when he was in over DOCKER, not in place of Edvinsson.
I truly feel this years team has proved to Steve they’re deserving of an upgrade. We have so many prospects and draft capital and as sad as it will be to part with some of it, if we can add a top 6 scoring winger and top 4 RD this year this team can keep surprising people!
Go get Werenski. Or any decent top 4 D. Doesn’t need to be blockbuster. I’m fine with not getting a new 2C if it means we can secure a better top 4 D. LGRW
