La saison 2025-26 des Devils du New Jersey a été un désastre. L’équipe est à l’extérieur d’une place en séries éliminatoires et le chemin pour y arriver s’annonce plutôt sombre. Jack Hughes a subi une blessure au bas du corps lors du match des Devils du NJ contre les Predators de Nashville et a quitté le match. Il n’a pas joué hier soir contre les Sénateurs d’Ottawa. Certaines personnes ont commencé à se demander si Jack Hughes devrait participer aux Jeux olympiques pour l’équipe américaine dans un peu moins de deux semaines. Sure it’d be great to be in the Olympics. But from his performance in the 4 nations face off, he just isn’t ready for best on best hockey yet (edit : plus he’d get injured because he’s made of paper)

That being said, Jack is currently recovering from numerous injuries & should clearly sit out the Olympics. But he won't.

Jack and the Olympics? Normally, I would say no. He's risking the Devil's season by getting injured again. However, they aren't winning when he's playing so who cares. If he plays in the Olympics and gets hurt, there's more of a chance of winning the lottery at the draft. They aren't making the playoffs anyway.
I could care less if the US wins the gold or not I only care about every Devil there staying healthy

Anyone saying he shouldn't go to the Olympics because of this is crazy..It's every players dream to play in the olympics.. especially they don't really know if this is gonna be an all the time thing..who knows this could be the only Olympics he ever plays in

The Devils fans that don’t like the Hughes brothers are imbeciles. He has missed 19 games and is only 5 points from leading the team in points. I’ll say that again, missed 19 games and is only 5 points from leading the team in points.
I always like that you are pretty fair in analysis of issues Ace. I suppose I am viewing Jack's participation on production this year compared to other American players. As I Devils fan I would love to have our best guy playing. If he goes I hope he does great. I never question his will or compete level. I ask you is a one handed Jack better right now than American players not going?

At the Olympics Jack will not have to carry the team. I hope if he goes he is awesome. I will be cheering him on!!!!!
Without watching yet he should absolutely go to the Olympics. Once in a lifetime opportunity to represent his country. Fitz and Keefe's problems should not be his.
Even if they do someday make it into the playoffs and they go on a run, the chances of the Hughes brothers making it through that grueling process are slim to none. Especially on a team that seems to be over reliant on them. If it was me, I would post pictures of me at the gym every day during the summer to show the fans I am not blowing them off at this point.

If he misses the next 2 games and is completely healthy in Milan, I'm trading him in the summer. That's all the proof I need that Jack isn't bringing back a cup back to NJ and at that point, you have to move on just like what Florida did with Huberdeau for Tkachuk. Issue is I also don't trust this org to pull off a trade like that so we're just stuck in the position where a rebuild is needed since this team is too dumb re-tool properly. /end rant lol

I’m a little surprised by your defending of Jack, I listen to most of your postgames and you like many of us are over the core. Jack is our best player but look at who he’s compared to…they are all fragile and Jacks true comparative play was exposed during 4 nations. I will eat my words if Jack is leading teaming USA during these Olympics. How do you think his play is going to change? He’s not going suddenly become a “dog” over there. Going to be the same ice capade he dos here, with the exception he will ride the pine after two games.
