I honestly don’t know if that’s a good idea. It would be different if they were both established, but they’re not.
What if Manny doesn’t work out as a head coach and we got fire him? What if Caleb struggles and we have to trade him?
What if there’s lockeroom tension over the deployment/favoritism to his son? Even if he doesn’t do anything wrong there will still be the perception.
Literally, anything and everything they do will be hyper scrutinized. (That goes for contract negotiations too.) Literally everything.
Theres just so many more scenarios where that goes really wrong than it goes well.
Manny is a convenient choice but not necessarily the right choice.
if they draft 3rd .. i can entertain such a thought.. but 1/2 no way..
How could the canucks possibly land 2 of the top 5 picks in this draft? This is a pipe dream. Although I do think Manny can be our headcoach
