    They should have traded Mathew during his last contract. I would trade him as soon as I could before losing more value. No Leaf should be safe all tradeable for best return

Matthews said he wants to be a LEAFS and Remain as LEAFS no matter what the outcome is of the rebuild ect. THE LEAFS Organization "Keith Pelley " Treliving and ALL the other HIGH Profile Staff in the Organization said that Matthews STAYS as LEAF until he Retires or askes for a Trade ….     Ryan being dismissive over the point of who would/should oversee selling off assets really bugged me because his notion of "who cares – Brad will be fired later" the idea is if you have an interim in say….Pridham, he has the vision that he sees for the team, rather than Brad's vision.

    I get what Ryan is saying, but just seemed like a lazy response when it's quite important who is overseeing this retool.

    Toronto, shoot out over the 32 ranked team in the NHL, Thirty Second, one of the slopiest games I have seen in some time, and one of the worst officiated games too boot. The 13 Million dollar man blows a penalty shot, with a PATHETIC deek, the guy with the deadly wrister? Maybe they are already tanking for a draft choice. It is probably time to let Berube go to save his sanity. All Bystander did was avoid body contact, and earned his 142,000 per game by scoring the shoot out winner, against Van's rookie goalie from Belarus. Wow.

    Some one said he would tear the Leaf's down to the studs. I would sooner watch a bunch of 20 somethings play with some heart, and then jell into a team that makes you want to embrace them. After the Olympics are done while Mathews and Nylander are top value I say get some No. 1 picks and start over. Let some one else babysit these primadonnas. If you want to blame it on a coach, you blame it on Keefe and Dubas for treating them like they were members of a country club. You yelled at me, now I have a head ache. I need to go to Germany for a massage.

    As long as people realize that it will take at least 5 years to get back to the playoffs, sure go ahead and trade the best players, assuming the players agree to it. And of course, remember that the team will have to buy the NMC which will cost $millions, if the team asks them to waive the NMC.
