    I would make the trade Thomas for Hildeby and Cowan and 1st rd pick . Thomas is proven at 26 yrs old Cowan and Hildeby only has promise.

    Tanking is the way to go to get a top 5 prospect rather than doing the same old signing an aging darling star on July 1 st that doesn't work out

    The announcers right if Chris Tanev had been healthy, the leafs would’ve been a playoff team Chris Tanev was the backbone of this roster’s defense, and I think losing him was the number one reason for this lost season because when he was in the lineup, the leafs were way above 500 in winning percentage, and Brad Treliving refused to replace him when he was injured because he believed the team even with all the injuries could hold until the injured players returned Brad Treliving takes FULL blame for this lost season. The leafs need a retool not a roster teardown Brad Treliving and Craig Berube both need to be replaced with with a GM with a good track record and Bruce Boudreau as head coach

    Toronto doesn’t have the farm to get Thomas. Cowan looks like a middle 6 winger and we don’t want a draft pick two drafts away. Friedman click bait. Only way a deal gets done between those teams involves Matthew Knies.
