Did anyone watch the avs broadcast? Were they pissy that there was so many wings fans?

  2. LGRW_Sparty88

The fact that they can respond after these bad stretches gives me some hope. It seems like any time Todd gives a « direct message » it is well received and we see an immediate impact through energy and effort. He hasn’t had to do it too many times so the effectiveness isn’t wearing off yet. Now we get to call a three game stretch with one point a low point which could make all the difference.

I am old and uncool, and I fell asleep during second intermission last night.  Woke up to see the score + summary and I am *very much* looking forward to catching up on the replay this morning.  Bageled in their own barn with Wings fans chanting LGRW = chef’s kiss!

the wings: become the first team to shut out colorado in their barn since april of 2024

Its a good day to be exhausted because the wings won a 9pm game.

Shame I couldn’t watch the whole game.

Then again I probably would have lost some of the hair I have left.

Big night for the first line something we haven’t seen in a bit

Much better performance last night, total team effort. I can watch Wings highlights and shows again. It was getting where I couldn’t watch them last week with all the negativity.

Oh, just for the record, I can’t stand all the shows that have potential trades talked in them. There are more of those on than actual Wings updates it seems like.

Let’s go Wings. One more good game before the break!

  8. NineInchPythons

Mickey returns and we get a win. Coincidence? I think not.

I really am glad we’re becoming a team of resilience this year. A bad loss of 5-0 last year would’ve had us in shambles and most likely lose the next 2 or 3 games. But the wings this year have proven to be a much better team mentally and have that motivation to come back stronger and put up a much bigger and stronger fight. Seider’s defense was just fucking spectacular and the entire defense locked in when it needed to. I think I’m getting to a point where one bad loss isn’t making me nervous anymore. Im hoping the team keeps this up!!

  10. I’m glad Gibson got the nod in net. I don’t think he played particularly poorly on Saturday. So I’m very happy to see him get a shutout and prove his hot streak wasn’t a fluke.

  11. I dunno about the rest of you, but I think they earned themselves some help at the deadline with that win last night.

    You’re up Steve.

I’m also thinking that maybe that win helps make some guys minds about with regards to their NMC.

  12. Bobby_Orrs_Knees

I’m so unaccustomed to Wings goalies getting shutouts, Gibson having four at the break with the start he had is hard to believe.

  13. Wingblade33

I could watch clips of Moritz Seider absolutely deleting Mackinnon’s attempts at offense all day he was awesome last night.

  14. I didn’t play Gibson last night on my fantasy team….

It ain’t much but it’s honest work.

Kinda wishing I had stayed up past my bedtime last night to watch the last period. What fantastic news to wake up to tho! My jaw dropped when I read ten minute misconduct penalty in my app for the Avs, that must have been quite the tantrum!

  16. A big game- and a big win. What a great way to wake up. Beating Colorado- shutting out Colorado- is a wonderful feeling. Even better is knowing that we LED the game for 59 minutes and 27 seconds -nearly the entire game- wow. Talk about stepping up. That’s a playoff team we’re watching here boys and girls.

The only way that could have been more perfect would have been for Raymond to have dropped the gloves with 20 seconds left to get a « Gordie Howe » hat trick. His pass to Kasper- between Makar’s legs- priceless.

  17. Danengel32

27 minutes of ice time, played the entire empty net sequence. Shut down MacKinnon to the point of confusion and turnovers. Simply a Norris caliber game from Mo. just amazing.

Honestly the best defensive game all around by a mile. Every single guy stepped it up, even Hamonic had a solid game. Made it as easy as they could on Gibson vs the best team in the league (Gibson still played incredibly). Chairot showed his worth big time too

Thank fuck we won yesterday. Need another 2 points in Utah going into the break

  19. Ken and Stu repeatedly talking about how great the Wings forecheck was last night kept giving me flashbacks to « we’re not going to forecheck just to forecheck » . I’m still traumatized by that hockey terrorist.

  20. ambiguousbasket

That could be the most consequential game of the season. A huge bounce back win over the best team in the league going into this break. A W tomorrow would be a cherry on top.

  21. Jesusberg

Haven’t gone more than a game without earning a point since December 2nd. They just keep finding ways to bounce back, even when things don’t look pretty.

  22. Are the Olympics an NBC thing? I’m wondering if I can hook up the old rabbit ears and possibly watch some Olympic hockey.
