There is a major problem. Going on with the Moose. Every player is underperforming. Plus stop drafting small puck moving defenseman if you arent going to play them.

  2. I feel like after 2018 a massive philosophical shift occurred within the organization. It stopped being about drafting and developing and shifted towards a “win now mode”. The problem is that Chevy is still in this mode and has sidetracked developing new propects in favour of trying to win a cup with the players we already had. And I think the president’s trophy extended this psychology into this season.

  3. McGroarty would be in this line-up this year. So would any PPG prospect on the Moose. They are literally desperate for goals.
I wouldn't say they've done a good job recently but Rutger went STRAIGHT to the Pens Farm team (while the Pens weren't even in a playoff push and so had nothing to lose by playing him) and is on his first year pro this year – hampered by injuries.
They messed up not trading guys like Lambert and Heinola while they had value and no immediate benefit to the Jets, but injury also stymied Heinola and after a certain point the Players' development is up to the Players themselves. And besides Salo and maybe Zhilkin in a depth role, none of them are exactly screaming "NHL ready", it's not like they're dominating on the Moose.
With Salamonsson called up, I think everyone is right where they should be rn, and I do watch a lot of Moose games.
If anything I think the drafting, particularly in the lower rounds, has been bad, though Walton and He in the 4th and 5th rounds in 2024 look like good bets.

  4. 2018 is when it all changed quit developing right
I'd trade Lambert he wants out

But if we do retool get a younger guy like Danielson whoever and current guys we have Salmonsson, zhilkin,Barlow,Yager,Chibrikov,Milic,Boumedienne,Freijs you can't just bury them on moose waste careers.

Most people want things to change but I have heard people saying POTENTIAL is a might be would you draft and develop or trade the top5 pick and get a top6fwd+2dman/package that helps rn give Core Scheifele,Jmo,Hellebuyck,Connor ect chance to win.
    There saying trades like
    1. Parayko+Kyrou for the pick
    2. Weegar+Zary+
    3. JasonRobertson/Panarin/top players.
    4. Hronek+Garland+Debrusk deal

  5. We don't trust them because they don't have NHL experience, so we don't give them NHL experience, so we don't trust them
    etc…

They're not making the playoffs this year. They need to trade at least a couple veterans to free up some space and regularly healthy scratch a couple more so they can play some of these young guys. Because the best way this team can get good players on it is by drafting and developing, and right now I think it is creating a reputation for itself that will drive players (like McGroarty) away and make it harder to build a good team.
