This really feels like now or never. You have got an outstanding team—don’t let this window close. The Leafs once had the talent but lacked goaltending; now it’s flipped. Look at Florida and Tampa—elite goaltending is what pushed them to back-to-back Cups. I am Leafs fan, but I don't want you guys to make the same mistakes. Learn from the Leafs.
Skinner wasn’t the problem and is Better than Jarry. This team has taken a step back everywhere on the roster. This team is nowhere close to the level of the last couple seasons. McDavid and Drai and now Bouchard are carrying.
That smell in your nose is the garbage dump that is the Oilers. Worst defense in the league. No back checking or defense from the wonder twins, but it's always the goaltending and coaches. Never change Shelbyville.

The Oilers are going to miss the playoffs at this point. There are now 4 teams 'behind' them with higher win % and games in hand. They need something to change or they're cooked.
You don't mind give-a-ways? There will always be some but the Oilers make far too many and Bouchard's seem the worst; and his defensive play is just not acceptable. Agree, coaching needs to be held accountable.
Jarry actually played aiite tonight. Yeah he let in 2 soft goals that should have been saved, but man this D has been so bad!!!! Let's too many grade a chances too many blunders. Something definitely need some changes on the coaching side. Somethings off. Coaches need to play the bottom 6 fair minutes to be in the game. Cant do hell playing less than 10, that's just cold feel n feel not part of the team. Also gotta look how many games out of that 25 or whatever drai, bouch, and davo playing over 25+ minutes, are the Oilers playing catch up whole game. Defensive coach need some restructure asap same withe that PK!!
As a Flames fan I'm pissed we won, our team is racing to finish 20th and get a mid draft choice. I think the Oil will figure it out, they've done this before and went on a run. I will agree the problem is coaching as well as a bad GM not fixing what the problem is.

I'm a Flames fan, don't hate me. That being said I was very confused when the Oilers traded for Jarry, then seeing him tonight reinforced my confusion. And now seeing that Minnesota is trying to move Wallstedt, made me think the Oilers probably wished they'd gone for him instead.
Also I get that McDavid and Drai are incredible but keeping all your other lines cold to double shift them all game and then complaining about depth without giving opportunity seems strange. And I can only imagine that those players must feel frustrated too.
The only thing that excites me about the Olympics is that Canada wasn't left holding the bag to host it.
Get rid of the 2 boat anchors in the bottom 6, Mangiapane and Federic. These 2 are beyond pathetic!

Call it a year. The team has so many issues and is not worthy to be a buyer. Coming from an Oiler fan I feel bad for Draisatl and McDavid. They make great plays and passes only for the player to miss the net or not score then their 3rd line defense is on the ice for the game winning goal again.
I think you have to ask the question, as to who was telling Holland not to go all in. Obviously, Holland has free rein in LA. Something he probably didn't have in Edmonton.
Crazy how Skinner is doing better now that he has a team that can play D in front of him. Oilers are going to get fucking rag dolled in the playoffs.

Something has to change… Personal? Structure? System? Coaching? My nephew can play better defense than the Oilers, and he plays beer league. How do you allow a player to get behind you on the PK? Terrible!

Ingram and pickard. Thats the duo. Lets not forget pickards regular season last year along with the 5 strait wins he had in the playoffs before getting injured. Even after pickards stellar play last year, the oilers went back with skinner in the playoffs after he needed to find his game for the third strait playoffs. This decision to go back with skinner not only cost the oilers a Stanley cup, it shattered pickards confidence. He dominated skinner , yet it wasnt good enough.
1-3 vs the Lames this year… rough, very rough. Jarry sucks, getting him was a horrible move. They should have brought up Ingram and kept Skinner, and then offseason you move on from Skinner and get a real elite starter.
As a Penguins fan this Panairin trade is gonna make Kings Oilers 5 really entertaining, he has a good track record against Jarry 😳 I really wanted Jars to have a good time in Edm but these last couple games have been pretty rough and seeing him make these comments about the team in front of him it reminds me a lot of his mindset last year which is a bit worrying, it wasnt a great year for him.

Zac stortini and Luke gazdic averaged more ice time than janmark and lazar. And janmark/Lazar kill penalties! Its an absolute joke playing janmark 5 minutes. It kills confidence and runs the top guys into the ground
Also, the oilers play keep away way to much. The oilers cycle the puck for 3 minutes, 29 turns it over and repeat. Pound the net with pucks. 3 pass limit in the ozone
The coaches don’t have any control once the puck is dropped.Its all on the players to motivate each other and hold each other accountable . Chickencrap for a player to blame the coach because the players don’t motivate themselves and play to their best abilities every night.
I'm Colorado fan but while Panarin certainly makes LA more dangerous offensively-I don't think it makes them some kind of elite contender-they aren't even sure to make the playoffs still. I still believe the West comes down to Vegas & Edmonton meeting the Central survivor which will probably be Colorado vs the Minny-Dallas winner. Id pick Minny to beat Dallas today. We aren't a lock to win the Central. 5 points up on Minny,& 6 on Dallas with multiple head to head matchups left is far from insurmountable. But it's really a bigger lead than that as Minny basically can't win tiebreaker against anybody-since they go to OT basically every game lately-so it's really 6 points on them.
And we have 3 games in hand on them-2 on Dallas. Certainly if LA ends up #8-they are a scarier 1st round opponent with Panarin than without. But I still wouldn't be near as nervous playing them-as some of the other potential 8 seeds. And I wouldn't be picking them vs Vegas or Edmonton either. But we shall see what else happens before the deadline. Now it's time to enjoy some Olympic hockey,& pray to God none of our respective teams have anybody injured seriously in Italy. Not sure how many guys Edmonton has but I think we have 8 dudes on 5 countries going-which is awesome but scares the hell out of me. But I still consider Edmonton a major threat,& my worst nightmare is actually you guys dropping to #8-lol.
