As an Oilers fan, it’s just science that we’re better than the Cowtown Lames. Like, actual hockey math. For example: we emotionally broke Calgary so hard in 2022 that Tkachuk saw McDavid once in the playoffs and immediately fled the province, forcing the Flames into a totally voluntary rebuild that they definitely planned. That one playoff series was basically better than a Stanley Cup anyway honestly, I’d rather beat the Flames once than win the Cup, which is good because we only lost it two years in a row on purpose for character development …And don’t even get me started on Ryan Pinder crying about the Oilers every day like it’s his cardio. I get it, man, if I were a Flames fan I’d hate the Oilers too generational talent, relevance, joy, etc. But keep coping. We won the Battle of Alberta, made your stars leave, and live rent-free forever. Flames didn’t even win in 04, just like Warrener Flames tears are eternal. 🔵🟠

Oilers rely on McDavid pulling them out of the weeds. Both in game situations and standings. He seems to summon it up when needed. Guess we'll see if he can do it again cuz if they keep up the mediocre, they'll drop in the standings. I remember a few years ago the Canucks bailed them out of missing the playoffs by sh1tting the bed down the stretch.

I'm an Oilers fan, and do not hate the flames. I actually cheer for them if my teams out, but that's been a long time. I'd get slightly bent out of shape if the flames beat Oilers in battle of Alberta. But not these days. The flames need wins so bad that when they beat the Oilers I'm like …. " Awe… well good for them"
It's not like if they even made the playoffs that they would get passed the Oilers. Whether anyone likes it or not the Oilers are going deep into the playoffs again and you know it . There getting passed 2 rounds for sure. They have an extra edge come playoff time. It don't matter what players come and go. The foundation is McDavid, Draisaitl, Nuge, Hyman, Nurse, Bouchard, Ekholm. As long those players are there your always going to have a playoff team. Which is a successful team. It's been a great decade as an Oilers fan. Lots of fun here. For flames fans it's pretty terrible. And no signs of a promising future.
