@Rangers de New York

    He wanted more than the Rangers were willing to give when they’re going to try and retool. It’s not that complicated.

    Unbelievable that Drury wasn’t willing to give this guy whatever he wanted to keep him, the same way he was with Igor.

    This is really the biggest criticism on Drury not the return we got. It literally makes no sense if you want to stay competitive why not just sign Panarin to the same short term deal he signed for in LA and it makes it worse now you’re showing your hand to both parties in either negotiating a good deal to resign Panarin and other teams who can come in and get him for the cheap because they know there is no leverage.

    Considering the crap return and that he was fine with 2 years, we should have kept him. If he was asking for 5 years then I would agree with moving him. Drury has to go

    I’m sure that’s exactly what the offer said considering this front office has no actual plan for steering this team in the right direction.

    I don’t know if I should say this, but I feel like they shouldn’t have signed him. They need to lose for awhile now, this roster already peaked

    Drury stated several times that he was retooling around Miller-Trocheck and thought Miller made Panarin expendable. *It did not make Panarin expendable*

    Wow I thought maybe he turned down something similar to the Kings offer of 11×2 here bc of the vibes and direction of the team, but they didn’t even offer that? What’d they insult him with like 8×1 or something? Yikes.

    Panarin left money on the table to come to NY in the first place, and seemed to prioritize location/ friends over money when chosing a destination now. So the offer must’ve been pretty lousy for him to turn it down

    Nobody’s words mean anything unless we stop going to the Garden and buying jerseys. Sure it will suck for a year or two but anyone that gives a fuck about this team can see it needs a 180° change in direction. That will never happen under Drury

    I think about all the time and money I’ve devoted to watching this team and it makes me sad
