   So… things have gotten a bit awkward in Philly. Let's talk about it! Let me know YOUR thoughts on this Michkov situation! Do YOU think he deserves more of an opportunity? Or is this whole thing being overblown?

   NOTE: Thankfully the game right after I recorded this saw Michkov get a slight increase in his time on ice, REALLY hoping this continues! ALSO: I knew about his injury coming into camp, but somehow forgot to mention it here. But I do know about it don't worry!

   Rick tocchet is a dumbass who has never been good at coaching or anything. He is only remembered fondly by boomers because he scored a ton in the easiest era of hockey. Should of never been the coach but former flyer so gotta pick him

   Listen, I’m a huge flyers fan, but this is his second coach and he’s going through the same stuff. Maybe he’s the problem.

   If Michkov has an attitude problem that they are trying to fix, no amount of results on ice offsets that. IMO they have to stay firm, all year, all next year…if needed. Get onboard if you want to play.

   Michkov feels like he’s turning into Alexei Kovalev a bit. Takes games off but is the best player on the ice when he wants to be.

    Much worse when weeks ago he said michkov is doing better and getting in shape and will be getting more minutes. Now its oh hes fat again. Tocchet is a trash coach.

    Michkov has all the talent in the world. He doesn't have the work ethic, the maturity and the mindset to be an NHL impact player. Mark my words he's gona be traded 4 times in the next 8 years and rush back to Russia.

    Flyers management talking about how they disagree with what Tocchet has said yet they hired Torts and Tocchet for a young team what do they expect lol? You hired 2 of the toughest coaches in the league in terms yet the Flyers are retooling/rebuilding idk what they are doing but it's like the roster is that of a team coming out of a rebuild yet you hire 2 coaches that favour vets and blame the kids when things go south. Makes no sense screams of dysfunction from the top down with no clear message it's weird and something Sens fans were used to in the Melnyk era not in the same way but it's still confusing for people looking at the organization

    Philly has a blatant anti-Russian bias. Always has. They view Russians as lazy and ungrateful. Can you think of ANY notable Russians that played there other than Bob or MM on this team? Nope. Philly doesn't JUST need a roster overhaul, the need a Coaching and management one. They need to do what the Isles and Tampa did and hire outside the organization. The Bobby Clarke/Paul Holmgren is OVER. Time to act like it.

    As a flyers fan I'm not trading him but he does seem slow like he's just not a good skaters,,, were In the dumpster cause they keep hiring their friends to do a terrible job how can they blow so many obvious picks,,, Jett loutanko Fking Nessbit, WTF,, just draft the tallest players that will bring us the cup

    If he's on the trade block I'd LOVE to see Kyle Davidson/Blackhawks make a move – he certainly fits what the Hawks need and he'd look fantastic next to Bedard. Not to mention the Hawks have plenty of assets and cap space to get a deal done.

    As a Capitals fan, I've always said that I preferred Leonard to Michkov. I've always said that Michkov is the better scorer, but Leonard is the more complete player. I've always had worries about Michkov's personality and effort on defense.

    It's nice to see that people are beginning to agree with me that Leonard is better than Michkov.

    I thought the Flyers were supposed to be in rebuild mode where they try to develop their young players, not win it now. Did they completely forget they are supposed to be building up to that slowly?

    Fire Rick Tocchet already. He is the one responsible behind all of this. He doesn’t know how to coach offense, he goes out of his way to sabotage the development of prospects especially offensively, he obsesses over dump and chase hockey, his systems always try to bank on overtime or shootout wins which in the long run aren’t sustainable for playoff success, and he doesn’t take accountability for his wrongdoings and instead deflects onto players like Clayton Keller, Elias Pettersson, and now Matvei Mitchkov. Demko, Hughes, Petey, and Miller all gifted the Jack Adams to Tocchet yet he barely did anything other than overplay Demko to the point of consistent long term injury. Tocchet has got to go.

    Something I don't think you brought up is Tocchet's continuous deployment of Michkov on his WRONG WING. Michkov is a much better player on the right, but Tocchet keeps putting him on the left.

    I understand maybe wanting him to be able to slot on both sides, but it seems like every game he's on the left, never the right wing.

    Michkov would have been better if he was playing for the Canadiens under Martin St Louis. St Louis leaves his young players to be creative and doesn't punish them if they make mistakes. He lets them learn from their mistakes.
