“Let’s go, Rangers!!! Or let’s not. We’re not so sure about you. Let’s try harder?” Clap, clap. Clapclapclap.

So glad we held on to this great, positive presence in the locker room.

I’ll preface this by saying that I generally like Miller, but I don’t think he was the right guy for the job. He’s the opposite of a ‘politician’ and the captain in a major media market needs to be a politician to some extent- especially if the team stinks. You get a lot less of these questions on a playoff team, which is what I think they thought were gonna be when they named him, but obviously when the team has won like three games in the past ~40 days, they’re gonna grill you, and Miller just doesn’t have what it takes to give satisfactory answers when getting grilled like that.

Who cares what he says to the media? All that matters is what he says to the other players, which we’ll never know. This is just useless complaining.

Lol he delivered the Cup so nobody remembers this. I love it when athletes don’t give in to journalists looking for a quote and are brutally honest.
After one of Matteau’s epic double OT goals I remember the quick post game interview the guy kept asking leading questions wanting him to say the cliche stuff….
Matteau just brutally answered the « wrong » way saying he feels horrible and his legs feel dead lol.

People with maturity and the ability to self-reflect can think ahead about the types of answers they might give to these very basic, expected sports media questions.
JT Miller clearly has neither the emotional intelligence nor the disposition to handle this responsibility. It’s very obvious, and it’s embarrassing to the franchise.
You can’t have a captain who refuses to take any ownership or responsibility, even if it’s not entirely his fault.
One of the captain’s most important jobs is to be a buffer between the media and the locker room. It’s not an easy one, and it’s not a job most players are equipped to handle.
The problem is, I can’t think of anyone who is less equipped than this mumbling piece of shit. And it’s not like they’re gonna strip him of the captaincy—management clearly approves.
Anyway, this is funny as hell, thanks for the laugh.

Everyone cares entirely too much about a quote to the dumbass media in a season that was over before it ever started due to the state of the roster
If he said whatever it is that people wanted to say, is this team not going to be hot trash? No.

I’m waiting on Sean Avery to drop something on this.
