1. I think next year will be his breakout year, points wise. I expect 45-60 pts next year if he's still being used as a "utility" player. I wouldn't be surprised to see 60+ if he's stapled to the top 6 though.

  2. It’s funny, with Marat, I noticed him either the season before or the same season we got him and I thought he looked good. One of the few players on our lineup right now with serious speed and he uses it often. Excited to see where he goes from here

  3. My only issue with him. is that he is not consistently on Pasta's line. when he CLEARLY! works so well with him. I know Lindholm is the big name but when you got Chemistry, ride the every game.

  4. Our version of Pavel Bure? Maybe not but he's got incredible speed and hockey sense. One of this years highlights for sure.

  5. He hunts the puck and wins battles along the boards against bigger players. This is what I appreciate the most about his game.

  6. I went to training camp this yr 92 was flying around definitely has a high motor wanted to make team out of camp and has not looked back.

  7. I think he’s just a great player, he doesn’t need tons of points per game because he’s all over the place. He really fits into Boston like a glove. Such a likable guy too.

  8. His breakup of the Panthers 2 on 1 was amazing. He used his speed to get back and then his stick to break up the pass.
    He's getting better and better.

  9. Love this kids speed. He seems to often find open ice. Wonder why similar 'tool' players like Lysell or Poitras can't replicate his success.

  10. Great breakdown. The attention he definitely deserves. I thought this trade was just about as clever as the Frasier Minten deal.
And how did we get Justin? Reclaimed undrafted player from… Yes! Toronto!
Yet again this connection goes back to the Leafs
    (Respect to Justin Brazeau.)

But a few young players have been overshadowed by Minten.
    Great problem to have.

the chemistry is exceptional this year. It really is something special and propelling this team further than perhaps anyone expected. Marat is a big part of that chemistry.
And pasta sealed the deal with that locker room interview talking about Marat.

The first info I read and heard from Wild fans was his explosive speed, which made me happy after losing DeBruske
    And – "coaches trust him"
Thought he might be another Mikey Eyesimont, but hes got more
    Hasn't disappointed.
    Can't believe he's only 23.

still want to know who these new scouts are.
They have pulled in some excellent reclaimed and untapped talent over the last year.
And I think these hidden gems, untapped talent not given an opportunity, exist all over the league and hockey world..
the pandemic backed up the development pipeline, there was good talent left on the table, still sitting in the AHL

    the confusion was crazy.

Soderstrom went back home and then came back to the NHL.

    Great spotlight video.
When you do these types of spotlights, it helps fans target what to look for when they play.

Most fans don't appreciate how players do those little things, open up lanes, draw players toward them, rearrange the ice so their teammates can succeed.

You bring elite prospects info up to the NHL,
    – follow up we don't hear after they've been in the NHL.

I will confess, when he first came in a year ago, when I was looking him up, one of the first things I thought was
oh geez, spell this name three times fast!

    Marat Azamatovich Khusnutdinov

I'm having a lot of connection problems. I write a comment hit send It never shows up, so then I send it again and then there are two.. 20 minutes later?

I'm sorry my connection is so bad, can't even upload videos

    But I can enjoy yours!

  11. I agree he has been a bright spot. I hope the Bruins can bring in more, young talent like him that can grow into a team that is a long-term contender again. Thanks for the video.

  12. Khusnutdinov has that “hockey IQ” intangible that’s rare among young (under 25) players.
That was on display when he single-handedly defended a 2v1 versus Reinhart and Lundell on Wednesday night.
A forward that is capable of doing that AND also capable of scoring four times in the same game … that’s a special talent.

  13. I’ve been impressed with Marat since he’s been here. Love his game and he goes into corners and hits- he’s a very tough kid with blazing speed. Khusnutdinov is a keeper.

  14. He's my 7th Player Award winner. The fans will probably vote for Geekie and miss the point of the award.
Runner-up: Mark Kastelic. Minton isn't a 7th Player, he's a burgeoning prospect that we stole from the Leafs, who has had the potential and available ceiling all along.

  15. “180 pounds? he needs more time to bulk up in the minors!” – that one clown who thinks weight is everything

  16. I like his game and I think he's progressed nicely since getting to Beantown from Minnesota. I don't know that the Wild would have gotten this out of him unless he was paired with Kaprizov.

  17. "Said thats my boy" first or second game here.
Recognized his potential and knew he was very fun to watch immediately… sorta reminds mix of Samsonov and Marchy when on the puck

  18. He's in good company with 93 and 47 as players who always give 100% every shift, it's the easiest thing in the world to root for them.

  19. Love how he keeps plays alive in the Ozone. When there's no safe play, he doesn't try to force a hail mary pass but instead dumps the puck in the corner and retrieves it. Great close-quarters puck handling skills. Skating is on another level. Reminds me of a young Marchand without the rat. Keep this kid!

  20. I really liked Khusnutdinov when he came to play with Kirill Kaprizov in Minnesota. Sadly they played him mostly in the bottom 6, so he didn't get a lot of points. When Boston got him back for Brazeau I was sad to see him leave the Wild (2nd favorite team), but I am very happy to see him succeeding in Boston!

Playing with Pastrnak and getting more ice time in the top 6 has been great

  21. you never score 4 goals by accidet!-love khusnutdinov!-he has explosive speed, good hockey sense.he should play on the 2nd line ad on the power play-Go bRUINS!

  22. Excellent player. Just watch him when he is on the ice. His motor never stops, and he is always in the right spot.

  23. One of the smartest Bruins I've ever seen.
Love to watch this guy play.
Wish cloning was a thing…I'd make a whole line of Marats.
Awesome find. Go Khusnutdinov, Go BRUINS.

  24. Marat is exactly the kid of player the Bs need .. quick to the puck, can pass and shoot, dart into the gaps. Hopefully a keeper .. if they're smart.

  25. Marat and Minten on a line is going to be fun to watch for years to come. Put Hagens with them too and all of a sudden you got three guys that could grow together.

  26. Maybe it was an gut feeling but I bought his jersey early in the year after he had an OT winner and SO winner. Glad he's turning out to be one of those unsung heros on the team

  27. Easily the best find in the last few years!
I can see him fitting in nicely over the next few years going forward.
Krejčí-esque? He really makes others around him better, and has goal scoring ability himself.

  28. Definitely a pleasant surprise for me and looks to be getting better as the season moves along. Got my 7th player vote

  29. I think in a few years he’ll become a permanent middle six player. Khusty has been great this season thus far, our future is incredible. Let’s NOT speed up the so called retool, be patient and we’ll win championships in a few years
