I mean you're not gonna go 82-0. They had injury issues at the beginning of the year too and it hurt them badly. Hopefully they can come back from break close to full strength
They already needed a depth defenseman and a top 6 forward. Not much you can do about injuries to Norris, Benson, Greenway, etc. So they end up getting stuck with non-NHL players like Helenius, Rosen, Kozak, Bryson, Krebs, Quinn having a bigger role. Hopefully they comes back healthier from the break and Jarmo makes a trade or 2 and it should be ok.
That game was a throwback. It looked like the ' before the run' Sabre's. When they dissect this game, they'll be ultra motivated coming out of the break. I agree with Lyon.
I’m not worried at all, they played a tough game in Tampa and lost in OT, penguins always beat Buffalo. Benson and other injured players will be back in 16 days

Pitt stick quickness was insane. Breaking up passes, stealing pucks, holding the defensive blue line. Losses to Pitt, TB, Mont. might be an indicator of either who they are or who they're missing.

Frustrating game to watch in a very long time. Nothing was clicking and woeful mistakes cost them the game. Give Pitt credit, they played smart game.

IMO the Sabres has the puck in the pens end of the ice for most of the game. Pens couldn’t keep it in the Sabres zone for very long at all. Problem was when it was in the Sabres zone there were too many sloppy defensive lapses. Also they have to stop missing the net by ten feet. Byrum tuch Thompson everyone was missing the entire net by a mile on good chances not even making the pens goalie make a save. Fanning on pucks not catching passes. Just a really sloppy game.

Bryson should never skate on the ice with the rest of the team. Zach Benson being out screwed us over. And Norris will be back along with Benson for the matchup in New Jersey. This team will be fine they will be motivated. Thompson was the only guy who was trying vs Pittsburgh.

If im Jarmo one of the things im doind during this mini break is finding a new power play coach. We have way too much talent on this team to look that bad.

I predicted a 5 to 3 loss but I thought Crosby would light us up not Avery Hayes & a backup goalie. But we usually make backup goalies look like world beaters. We witnessed the usual attributes of a Sabres loss, cant hit the net, poor passing, silly turnovers – the usual madness that I have witnessed for the last 14 years. The sabres are in trouble. They have Florida & Tampa on the road after the break, Columbus can easily overtake us and they are built for the playoffs.
They could miss the playoffs and it will still be a successful

Yes. Very concerning. They were checked out last night. Wearing the black. At home. Before the Olympic break… when they get outshot every night anyway… it is VERY concerning! Like I’ve said. This streak is 100% irrelevant! It’s all about the first 5 games after the Olympic break. I still have no faith in this team, because how they’ve played the last week, still seems possible…
To me it seems like they forgot that an aggressive attacking style is what brought them success. They seemed to be a lot softer when trying to close out games in this last little stretch. I never understand why they constantly have to be reminded of this.

Who’s a powerplay specialist? My thought is a player like victor olofsson and I wouldn’t want that. Just add some forward depth and a start able defender

Every game matters at this point. Really needed to beat either Mont or Pitt to feel really good about the final stretch before the break. How many points gets us into the playoffs? Need 60% of remaining points to get 100.
I’m all in but very dissapointed in losing both Pitt and Montreal.
