Ruppers rant to end the pod is exactly how I feel about both the Hughes bros but definitely Jack. He is not a true leader.
As a Habs fan; we love Drury; but even then, he still rates (a little) above the Jackson/Bowman duo in Edmonotone.
I’m honestly ready for the Devils to move on from the Hughes brothers. I don’t even care if they’re traded and go on to lead another team to a Stanley Cup win. Jack is not reliable in terms of health and he brings absolutely no maturity or leadership to the team. He’s frankly unlikable at this point based off of his press and his lack of leadership. He’s lost me as a fan.

Great discussion fellas. NJD fan here. Season is 100% over (has been for weeks). Fitz MUST GO, he can't have anything to do with the retool/rebuild that must occur. He's had 5 years and it's been all downhill since 22/23. The core needs to be broken up, lots of skill but they simply don't. Jack has shown his true colors, he is far from a franchise player. When he's healthy (not very often) he is a great playmaker but he's charmin soft and what Rupp said at the end is so true. If he wanted to play the last few games would have. He's a major problem in that locker room, and it's only gotten worse since Fitz dropped the ball with Quinn. Trade both Jack and Luke, we're never going anywhere with them. Take that $ and get some real gritty players like Marchand who are committed and focused on winning. Way too many distractions with the Hughes bros, let them go play with Quinn in MN. It's clear that's what they want to do anyway.
Fitz put all his chips in on the Hughes brothers. He lost!!! They are poisonous to the locker room and not team leaders. Both can pack there bags and leave Jersey. These guys act like they have won something, haven’t proven s**t. Always drama and injuries around these two. They have set this organization back years. Jacks comments pissed me off and he’s an arrogant punk. Fans love this team and work hard and spend there hard earned $ to see and support the Devils. Most disappointing season I can ever remember. 10 year rebuild for this garbage. No passion, emotion, or fight from this team. #firefitz

I don't know why someone is the president and the GM of a team those are two separate roles that create checks and balances. Drury being given that much power has allowed him to wreck this team. James stolen is a billionaire He could care less if the Rangers win or lose to a certain degree. The garden will always be sold out that might not be asses in every seat but it will be sold out. What a disgrace
I'm not a Chris Drury apologist in fact I want to see him gone as general manager of the New York Rangers but I don't think anybody is looking at this trade with any type of logic there is a real chance we could have just got nothing for bread. He held all of the cards all of them and everybody's complaining about the return. We move emotion insert logic you got what you got and we're lucky we got something.

You didn’t mention that Nico was playing through illness all week as Keefe said he lost 10 pounds and continued to play 20+ mins every game the past week.
Rangers should go all in to get Cutter Gauthier by offer sheet. It is pretty much the only way get to back on ur feed. He can play center he played as a center through the juniors and he has already chemistry with Perreault.
Drury wants Brady Tkachuk, don’t know how he gets him, if it’s even possible or if Brady would even want to come to the NYR, but that’s a player he would move anything for him. He wants a team built like Brady…hence the trade for JT. I’m not holding my breath

Thanks Rupper for giving a little of the harsh truth on Jack. I said something very similar the other night on a livestream and many people tried telling me I was crazy. You have confirmed exactly what I was telling people. I hope Jack matures and gets it together. But there has been plenty to complain about with him as of late…

Well, now that you brought it up, you mentioned all these players are all happy now. Well that’s great. I’m glad they’re all happy but when they play together as a team, they had three shots at a Stanley Cup and lost because they are weak.
