I don't agree that we've overcorrected towards looking at Defense, not at all. Every single discussion or list about who will be the Norris are ALL offensive defensemen or about who has scored the most goals. The only one who isn't is maybe Seider but barely gets brought up, proving the point.

I sometimes wonder if the hyper enthusiasm of so may hockey fans today will turn me off to the sport. There is an aspect of being a fan of a sport and not following it the way other fans do. And there is a sport I followed a few decades ago and when it got too violent for me, i cold turkey stopped following that sport. And I have no regrets 20 years later. And I hope that I will never have any aspect of hockey that turns me off to the extent that I no longer want to watch the sport, because i have been a fan for sixty years and I think it is a great sport.
I hate the "it’s all your fault" chants. It shows a complete misunderstanding of the game, it’s pretty dumb. It’s rarely ever just the goalie’s fault and assuming so is really stupid.

I love Blake Lizotte. I think he's one of the best 4th liners in NHL history. Always works hard, uses his smaller stature wisely when forechecking, can chip in offensively (as he's shown lately with Dewar and Acciari, the best 4th line in hockey). Guys like him are easy to pull for.

the "its all your fault" chants are constant in college hockey. cuda goalie tonight was UVM alum Gabriel Carriere, who was shelled on the regular in a very tough conference. whatever they chanted at him tonight was weak sauce compared to stuff student sections come up with. some will even do deep dives into opposing players so they can yell chirps with their parents names in it. im sure it made him feel right at home

The more HOCKEY videos & history I watch, the more I realize I’m just a hockey fan period… many teams I did not like at first for whatever reason, there’ll be stories, history or players that just changed my mind… I like the sport wanna support it at different levels so it sticks around
