When the Rangers investigated did they find any other Panarin "incidents" that prompted them to think we should cut ties with him ?
In football , assaulting wife/girlfriend , carrying loaded handguns into crowded nightclubs or airplanes is perfectly acceptable as long as you produce on the field , they don't care what you do off the field apparently .

Panarin — one of the most underrated players in the NHL. But it's also his fault too — if he'd played in Tampa Bay, for example, with Kucherov (they had a great partnership in the Russian national team) and won the Stanley Cup, everything would have been different. But he chose comfort and money, and he couldn't care less about the Stanley Cup, unfortunately.
Drury has to be doing this on purpose. If not he needs to find a new job

Unpopular opinion here but he was just never good enough or big enough physically to make a impact at the highest level. As the playoffs got deeper Panarin got smaller and smaller to a point at which he was a no sho against the bolts and panthers respectively. Great regular season player tho
First off he isn’t statistically the best ranger. Second off he did disappoint for multiple years they missed the playoffs. He really only played top level hockey for 2 seasons

Bread kind of sucked during the playoffs which pissed off Drury who then fouled up the Rangers with the Goodrow, Trouba, Kaapo, Lingren, Chytle and Kreider debacles. Drury single handedly screwed over the NYR, and I do believe that the NYR stopped playing for him during the 24-25 season, and it kind of carried over to this year because Laffy still just totally sucks. He's got Pannarin like skill just can't use it with his head up his ass like it is.
Everyone forgets the GM is hired by the owner. Bad other staff or lack of is from the owner. The wealthiest team in hockey original six shouldnt be missing or just adding or have bad staff which are all true and unacceptable especially for a NY team. I think it all goes back to Jim Ramsey thing id love tp know the truth there. But look at Toronto staff types amount and level vs rangers and rangers even 5 years ago when most didn't exist yet. Gorts and JD were fixing the whole franchise but owner couldn't have someone else get credit for fixing his mistakes so he had to destroy the only good he ever did

All the rangers success was overrated. They didn’t deserve to beat the Penguins in R1, and that was obvious. Team was never ready to sign a free agent like panarin, and everyone’s glad they have to go though this
For a guy still in his prime (probably another 2-3 great years left), he chose to go to La and live a good life
