  1. As a Minnesota fan it’s so fun talking about sports but I know Minnesota will never win sheet. Sad reality for us in this state. No matter what we do, there’s always something that makes sure we don’t win it.

  2. If Minnesota gets to the Conference Finals and scores 2 goals in that entire series then thats their most successful playoff run in history
I think they could beat Dallas, but it would take 6 or 7 games
I think Dallas is a bettet team and could beat Minnesota in a short series,
Sucks those 2 teams have to play in the quarterfinals because of the stupid playoff format

  3. Yep my team need to win a 1st round but this season I feel confident in them! And if we beat Dallas we could go far!

  4. Bitter/sad Rangers fan here! The Wild are my team out West as far as the playoffs go. I wanna see them win one for Zuuuuuuuucc. I so miss having him as a Ranger, even though it’s been years since he was traded!

  5. Speaking as a long suffering Canucks' fan, Hughes could be the difference maker in the playoffs for Mini. He's not very big, but he's elusive and the Wild have the support around him to keep him safe and maximize his abilities.

  6. Marcus folingo at 4 million sounds great considering my team has Trent Frederic locked up for 8 years at basically the same amount 😳

  7. I just hope no top player gets injured or it’s over more than likely. The fact we have to get by The Aves and Stars is tough, but if we stay healthy and maybe get a good player at the deadline we have a good shot at maybe, just maybe winning a round. But it’s Minnesota so……

  8. At this point it really does not matter how well they perform in the regular season. They need a playoff round win before Minnesota fans want to start talking about how good they are.

  9. Hughes didn't handle the agressive body checking last go around all that well. He can't clear the netfront and his talent for breaking ankles doesn't work as well when no one is lollygagging because the intensity is so high. Players like zadorov were more noticable than him. It will be interesting to see if he learns how to play playoff hockey or if he's a regular season merchant.

  10. First round exit care of the Stars. They’ll at least make it to six games. It’s the same thing every year for the last decade plus. After a while, you get used to it.

  11. Mn best chance is winning the division, which a long shot, but at least Colorado would have Dallas first round… realistically: how can anybody in the central have a prayer of getting to conference finals? Beating Colorado is gonna be a bigger feat than taking the cup

  12. The biggest difference this year for the Wild is that they have beaten all the top ranked and don't have hang-ups like previous years. The other teams know they can beat them and this is a big deal compared to previous years. Also since Hughes joined the team they are averaging 5 Goals a game with a 2 goals against. That's a crazy ratio no matter what team you are talking about. Another thing is that the team has had to play seriously banged up all season. After the break they will be nearly 100% healthy and you are going to see players shift times lower which means less wear and tear and more intensity. If the Wild this year don't make it to the WCF I will be shocked.

  13. I wanna say yes they're gonna get it done this year but being a minnesota sports fan i have a needlessly pessimistic attitude towards my teams

  14. I"ve been with this team since the North Stars and I'm hoping for a deep run. But again it is Minnesota. We don't have much luck with sports, at least men's sports.

  15. The Wild will again be Meek and Mild in the playoffs when the refs swallow their whistles. Their coach couldn’t find his way out of a wet paper bag with a machete so their lack of size/grit, especially on the Blueline, can be traced directly to him and it will again be their undoing in the playoffs. I am sure there are folks that want to question my outlook, but their history of 1st round exits prove my point and they have done nothing to change/improve this outlook.

  16. I had an awful dream last night where the Wild traded Quinn Hughes for Dylan Larkin and other minor pieces. It felt way to real immediately upon waking up.

  17. Yes. The Wild are at or approaching their peak with Hughes, Kaprisov and especially Boldy. Zucc and Hartman are punching above their weight class and their third line is arguably the best in the league. I think it would be an egregious mistake to trade Wallstedt, so i am hopeful that they will maintain their current 1a/1b rotation. Why mess with what is working?

  18. I playoff games had 3 v 3 overtime, they get out of round 1 much easier than 5 v 5. [My way of saying lots of those points this year are because of the 3v3 OTs]

  19. It's all coming together to win the statnley…uh, first round. They've been in 9 of the last 11 Stanley cup playoffs and the last first round win was 2015. Thanks for doing Wild content. Love your stuff.

  20. Everything you've said in this video applies to the Vikings, Twins, and Wolves as well. As a Minnesota sports fan, we have seen so many great teams (especially in the regular season) look like they are set to make a good run at a championship and come up short, usually in the first round of the playoffs. It just never feels like we truly have a chance once the playoffs start. I'd like to think this Wild team is different with Hughes and the potential move(s) we make at the deadline, but well will have to see. Right now the Wild and the Wolves are approaching new territory of actually having a chance. We will just have to see if either of them can finish it this year and bring a championship to Minnesota.
