  1. Don't put Jack Hughes to MN as a certainty.

The Devils will have a say in whether he is available.

And, it will be hard for NJ to let him go with the great Olympic performance.

But, we have one extra NHL goalies. A luxury. Who will be gone?

  2. The Wild don’t need another sniper like Jack Hughes. They have Kaprisov. They need more face off wins from someone like Trouchek, so that the Wild spend more time in the O zone to enable more scoring opportunities for the snipers they already have.

  3. The way Hellabuyck was playing, I wouldn’t be surprised if he carries that momentum into the Jets, and we see them climb up the standings a bit.

  4. This win is probably the worst news for Minny fans and here is why, Quinn is probably thinking to himself what could be more fun than winning a GOLD medal with your brother? ….Answer , Winning a CUP with both of your brothers. Remember the Devils know what Billy wants and needs to do to keep Quinn there. Would they just say, OK will give it to you or would they say. No, we will see if Quinn really does sign there this summer if you get bounced by Colorado or Dallas quickly. Again, if Quinn says no to an extension this summer, then you know he is leaving. The Devils probably have a better shot of getting Quinn than Minny getting Jack after this win because I don't see the Devils trading Jack or Luke. They have pretty much made them the face of the franchise already, good or bad, but that's the bed they already made so they have to continue down that path. If they are going to play together it will be in NJ but if not maybe Quinn will sign an extension with Minny.

  5. Quite the year ALREADY for Billy G. 1st he keeps Kirill the Thrill, then lands Quinnie & now GOLD! I say, why COULDN'T he bring the cup to Minnesota in '26? Doing so would make him a hands down choice for governor!!

  6. I just don't see a trade that would bring Jack to MN, he's signed through 2028 and now his stock is at an all time high. We just don't have the assets, aside from Wallstedt. So a backup goalie would have to be included. That, and I really don't want a potential all star goalie to leave MN. Especially for how bad Gus played in the Olympics. What would a trade look like for you? As much as I hate to say it, I think it's more likely that Quinn turns into a douche and waits out his contract then walks. Hopefully, if that's the case, BG can trade him for a haul.

  7. I would love to see the Hughes-keteers formed in several years, when Jack and Luke are between their contracts. We just got a preview of that. But first let them develop over in Jersey. #TrustGMBG

Crazy to think that if the Wild won instead of lost those back-to-back games against the Kings, they probably wouldn't have made the move for Panarin, and if the Wild won some other random game then we'd be ahead of CO. And if they won several of their 1 score, OT losses, and didn't lose against basement team then they'd be THE Wagon of the league. Like how they were last year before Kirill's injury and almost sweeping the Knights. This time just the Avalanche and Jets have swapped seeds.
