  1. Ottawa is only six out. To be a pessimist (from Ottawa's perspective), the team they're chasing for the WC2 is Boston and the Bruins are on a pace for a 99 pt season. At 63 points with 25 games remaining, Ottawa could go 18-7-0 to finish the season with 99 and secure a spot in the East.

Ottawa finished last season with a 16-6-3 record over their last 25 – that's 35 points and – if they could repeat that this year – they'll finish with 98 points and they'll be really close.

  2. Yes they can. I think that they're going to bolster their defense via trade and give it a shot. I think they fall short but would root for them as an underdog if they did get in.

  3. I hope the Senator's make the playoffs. Small market teams really need the boost to keep surviving. You know Bettman would love to do a Nordiques and move to the franchise to Houston.
Reimer will probably benefit from the break.

  4. With great goaltending the rest of the way they can do it. Without it they'll never catch up.

  5. Ullmark has been inconsistent at best and down right awful at worst…

He will need to play above average to even have a chance at the playoffs.

  6. I saw the other video before this one.
Of course Ottawa is Capable, I think they’re a good team. I like how they play!!

  7. Hockey Guys video a week ago: Leafs likely to miss playoffs. Today: Sens still in the hunt.

    Uh they are tied.

  8. Everyone knows it, but it comes down to goaltending. They’d been an easy top 10 team in the league otherwise. We’ll see how they play

  9. Ullmark will settle in, find his game, and show everyone why he’s the goalie who can take the Senators to the playoffs

  10. No matter which way this goes, these guys really need to stop trading off picks in the first 2 rounds. Another big story is just how bad their farm team is, and shows just how depleted their prospect pool truly is

  11. They need at least two point per game stars to push that GF/G standing into the top ten if they are going to survive a first round of the playoffs, which I think they have an outside chance of making. I don't think making the playoffs is on Ullmark's shoulders. I think if they add to their goal production they can make the goaltending less of an issue.

  12. The difference this year is they have to beat like 6 teams to a wildcard spot but only had to knock two teams out of a playoff spot last year.
