There has been discussion about how badly the Jets need to restructure the team.
Hellebuyck is good, great even. But I never feel like I can trust him when the chips are down.
Do we consider trading him and some other guys for younger talent? The entire roster is like 27+, and they aren’t getting younger.
And while great goalies win games, no team has ever won the Cup solely by who’s in net.
I’m not saying either way, but I’d imagine the general talking point of, « Do we trade Helly while he’s red hot? » will start getting more discussion in the coming months.
