Il a été mon animateur préféré à NHL Radio pendant des années. "Le point" étant son dernier. Gardez la tête haute, Jake Hahn.

Absolutely loved him. He always had a unique take that I never saw coming. We didn’t know each other, but we spent 2 hours, 5 days a week together for years. I’m really going to miss him.

I had just looked him up last week. Usually he been taking treatment and would miss a few days, but he’d been out a couple weeks after the most recent one.
Really enjoyed listening to him. He will be missed.

Omg that’s brutal. I listened to his show every day. Best show and personality on any sports radio anywhere. Really sad about this. I wondered every day if he’d be back on the show. I knew he was in chemo but didn’t know it was that bad. He seemed like a genuinely good guy, no bullshit, honest dude. The Point won’t be the same
The Point is my favorite show on SXM and the only reason why I keep a subscription. I don’t know Jake or Boomer but I’ve spent 6-10 hours a week with for the last 10+ years, they feel like my homies. I’m crushed way more than I was expecting.
Cancer in Canada is an automatic death sentence.
Boomer was the only reason I kept my XM subscription all these years. In my opinion, no one did hockey talk better. No podcaster or radio host even came close (maybe Elliotte, but that’s about it).
He had a way of pulling you into his world and making everything feel personal. His thoughts and opinions were relatable and down to earth, and it was just so easy to connect with what he was saying. That, in my opinion, is what made him special.
Rest in peace, Boom. You’ll be deeply missed by so many loyal listeners.
