my 5 y/o nephew, born and raised in the states, was crying after canada lost. We're sharks fans first and foremost. Macklin, I'm gonna be cheering for you next olympics, too.
Any way we could pick up some new reporters at the trade deadline?
So incredibly proud of Mack. The bay and sharks fans all around the world were right there with him sweating every minute he was on the ice over there.
Macklin is an amazing player but also a great person. His honesty was great and I can’t wait to see what he does next and in the future. I think the Sharks will be playing next level just to see him play and laugh again.
Who are the idiots asking the questions? As if he already didnt feel bad, its luke these clowns are rubbing it in. I hope Mack bounces back quickly…he is an amazing talent ❤
I feel like he has grown so much since the olympics. I think he realised how much potential he still has to unlock and how much he can pour into his game when working with such forces by his side. We’re proud of him and we will still be in four years, even more!!
He looks so sad. I hate it just keep your head up and don’t stop trying to do not stop trying like you are a really good hockey player and if you do stop trying, that’s not gonna be good. You can’t let one bad thing but you ruin your entire future of hockey.
If Mack was on the ice, the U.S. would not have scored. Mack would have come back full speed and broken up the play. All 3 guys on the ice hesitated at certain points and that is why Hughes ended up open.
I think the little boy in those pictures he posted before he left would have thought having an Olympic silver medal was pretty cool. In time he will be able to appreciate his accomplishment. He's a class act and will follow in Crosby's footsteps because of it.
I hate them acting like silver is something to be ashamed of. 2nd out of all the teams is still a huge accomplishment, but canada is acting like its a total failure. I get being disappointed but come on guys.
Suck it, Macklin, 'Murica! (JK) Losing will just motivate him to kick our arse next chance he gets. Meanwhile, he's now an even bigger star, which he'll have to just accept begrudgingly.
Sharks really did luck out to not only get the #1 overall pick (although they earned it, lol) but to get it one of the few years a truly generational talent comes along.
To me he was clearly the second best on that team if not equal with McDavid who won the tournament MVP. So he has a lot to be proud of, I hope he can be be glad for that even though they didn’t get Gold.

Only Dan R can ask a decent question. These questions were terrible. I feel bad for Mack.
Looks like he matured by 10 years over the course of the Olympics
Save the plushies for teddy bear toss in December
The questions bro. "Do you have an empathy for the US team for not winning in 46 years?" Come on…..
MVP.
Does that reporter know Macklin has lived in the US since he was 13???? Of course not.
some of these questions are insane, I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled a Leon Draisaitl (would even support it actually)

Forever, what a stunning question 😂 ,,, Go Sharks 🩵🤍🖤🏒🥅🦈
"would you do it again in 4 years?" what kinda question is this…

Let’s go sharks!
How did nobody ask him about his reaction to elevated cupcake experience??
some of these questions are absolutely brutal, no wonder people hate talking to the media
All sharks fans were rooting for Canada
what idiot asked the question about having empathy for USA hockey not winning since 1980. I hate our reporters so much.
I just realized he uses so much "I mean" lol
What stupid ass questions. San Jose sharks plz hire some actually good reporters

I agree Canada played better the gold medal game holistically, BUT could NOT score that was the bottom line. They couldn't beat Hellebuyck.
Starting to feel like a canadian market, poor him, it was all quiet in SJ before😭 hope he still gets some peace in the future
As an oilers fan…glad to see we aren’t the only ones with media that asks the most brain dead questions
He puts so much pressure on himself for the loss
Will have many olympics to play for gold maybe wearing the C even
Loved his answer about empathy for the USA victory, and I’m an American. What a dog

"are you ok with bandwagon fans?" wtf man why would you ask him that? what is he supposed to say, "nah, actuakly, stay tf away from the tank"?
Macklin is better than Bedard.
Some of these questions are genuinely so stupid. Like geezus, have some decorum.

I hope he knows how well he truly did
if you look closely you can see a C on his chest
Rock star.

we're so lucky he's on our team
These questions. Please, fire some of these people 😂 I’ve never done journalism, but I could ask better questions than these questions
Great basically means fine in man language. And we all know what fine means when a woman says it.

What did he do with his stuffed animal? Lol
It’s gonna break my heart into a million pieces when he leaves us for a Canadian team
Sports media is filled with morons

"It's the most media we've had, ever" 😭 (also, what are some of these questions..?)
