  1. I know this a small thing considering most of us can’t go to games let alone buy szn tickets but never less. instead of adding the 42nd home game to Szn ticket holders (I’m assuming the prices will go up again) they’ll only give them opportunity to buy the tickets?!

  2. Matthews got his "championship" for the year. He is going to be on cruise control for the rest of the season and collect a paycheck.

  3. Keith Pelly was involved in golf from 2015 to 2024. Perhaps he intends to introduce a reverse "Happy Gilmore" strategy and bring in some "never-was" golfers as a marketing gimmick.

  4. Last nights game was literally the looking at the dead bird meme from Arrested Development. I don't know what I expected.

  5. What are they doing? I believe the psychologists are calling it psychological abuse, gaslighting and delusions of grandeur these days. If it were possible to sue the Leafs for exacerbating C-PTSD they would fold

  6. That email sounds like one of Trump's grift emails. "Give your money, I promise good stuff will happen." (Fine print) "Nothing will happen. Thanks, sucker."

  7. The other thing about the injury excuse is that they CHOSE to invest in guys like Tanev, Stolarz and Woll, all of whom are either old or injury/personal reasons absence prone, and then turnaround when they all miss huge chunks of time and say, "but injuries." Give me a fucking break.

  8. Pelley feels like a case of kissing ass during an executive dinner and over selling, when we’re all here watching them burn the house down. I rather Shanahan back if these are the results. At least there was hope.

  9. The next three games are against teams that are lower in the standings. So it will give them a false sense of optimism.

  10. I mean what do you expect Keith Pelley to say?

If he reveals his plans to the public that essentially destroys his team’s leverage at the deadline

What he wrote wasn’t inflammatory at all and is common standard practice amongst executives

He didn’t ever really make a false statement in there so I don’t know what’s there to be upset about (other than the 42nd game thing)

It just feels like entitlement at this point

They are paid to put together the best product they can and hopefully have fans satisfied as a result

Even for the passionate, it’s ultimately a business 🤷‍♂️

  11. James was a very productive NCAA PLAYER who forced his way out of Chicago and has forced his way into the lineup in TB.

  12. Pelley: "We can't reveal what we're doing becuz competitive advantage." (Non-Playoff team)

Meanwhile, Minnesota: "Someone please God trade for Ryan Hartman because we are going to upgrade up the middle." (Playoff team)

  13. Let's be real…Leafs are probably Dunzo for this season…..maybe wait a couple more games to see if playoff hope, but time to analyze and decide best moves….I'd definitely flip any and all soon to be unrestricted free agents…Not one is a MUST resign….get whatever assets you can and fill their spots with your AHL players (now), and/or upcoming free agents in off season….Then next season see how it all shakes out…if still pretty bad/mid level i'd seriously consider moving Willie and Matthews….I've never thought Willie was all that…yes he can be exciting offensively, but causes as many scoring opportunities against as for….Matthews at least has good defensive side skill…but will he be resigning in 2 yeers? Will he be worth the $18-20 Mil per then…either decide to keep him, resign extension next year or move on from him…you would receive a Ton of assets for both…or maybe Leafs strike oil again and win the lottery and get McKenna.
