As a Monty dickrider, I would’ve went Dobes because he was doing well before the break but I’m alright either way. As long as we stick with whoever wins games and stop trying to be nice.

Monty has been VERY good last game! And with extra time to work with the new goalies coach, both Monty and Dobes will be a wall for us going forward.
Nothing to worry about here. **What you need to be wary of, is the TRAP used by the Islanders… might make for some sleepy hockey lol**

Both guys getting starts in the first 2 games back. I like the idea of coming out of the Olympic Break wth a new goalie coach and a clean slate.
We can only hope that it is a clean slate and Marty will continue to play the goalie who’s play merits that they play and not just insist someone is our # 1 regardless of their current form because ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶h̶e̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶Q̶u̶e̶b̶e̶c̶o̶i̶s̶.̶ ̶ he was our starter last year.

Would of went with Dobes but this is a test for Monty, if he shits the bed, he confirms he’s not the guy for a big game. The goalie coach thing, not sure if that was the reason Monty gives big rebounds

They probably told him, play well against the jets and you get the next one. They’re slowly building his confidence back up. By the time we hit playoffs, hopefully we have 2 solid goalies.
Either way it’s not a big deal to start him. There’s no right or wrong approach after a long break and no clear “starter”
