These guys will never win anything. There is too little team defense to win. The forwards are playing Nylander hockey. Zero defense, just hanging around waiting for a chance to get their names on the score sheet. The sooner they start the rebuild the sooner the team will have a chance to contend.
Focusing on the Bruins pick is a terrible mistake to make. That pick is gone. Let it go.
Who should they trade? Anyone one they can move that isn't named Woll or Hildeby. Maybe Cowan.
Agreed , Domi has no clue who to cover or where to go , which is mind blowing since he grew up in the rink, add another 3 more forwards , in particular Nylander who has zero d conscious, Reilly for a career d also doesn't know how to identify and set up positionally in placement of leverage to properly neutralize the forward, this as you accurately claimed has no concept of d structure , when half your forwards don't know how to provide support in the area of the game/rink that requires full commitment, you get exposed for your cheating (lazy) and lack of IQ.
I don’t even blame the forwards. You can’t compete with a blue line like this.
The Leafs have become so unwatchable that whenever other games are on that I want to watch, I will watch those games.
The teams barely practice anymore over the season so a team thats floundering has little route to find a path out of the doldrums

The NHL has developed a system of points where even though you’re really not in it the standings make it look like you’re not that far away we’re only six back. We’re only seven back but you gotta jump 6 teams so the standing say six games but the math says about 15 points. I think most leaf fans have known this since mid January.

Dude, the plug was pulled long before the Olympics. Matter of fact they were healthy when they went 9-11 their first 20 games. The water is at the gunnels now. You fire the coach and GM you Still have Mathews, Reilly And Nylander on that team. 3 Uncoachable players. One more thing, Joel Quenville won his 1000th game as an NHL coach. He was “Available” to hire BEFORE the Leafs hired Berube.

The Leafs are ready for Muskoka, golf and boating. I don't blame them. Condensed schedule that ran them into the ground and being behind in points, I'd mail it in too. The organization really has nothing they can do this year. Any UFAs that are tradable as rentals, could get picks or prospects, but aside from Laughton, who wants to come back. Some players could give Trelliving some assets for next year…pull the trigger now , go younger .

Here you have Matthews, and who is on his line? Domi sucks in his own end, McMann skates up and down the ice. This isn't about Marner its about not loading up the first line to be a threat. Domi is an anchor. The D sucks. Buy out Reilly, your asking Johnny T to be 2nd line and he should be 3rd. This team is a mess. Going to the dentist is more fun than watching this team.
