To concede that 2nd goal with Tarasov’s glove getting touched and yet the challenge failing… it’s just been a season from hell on all fronts. Luck, injuries. Getting that 2nd goal with 33 seconds left reminded me so much of the Utah L earlier this year lol

Brutal. Needed to go on a run after the Olympic break, and beat teams ahead of us. This won’t cut it.
The script won’t let this team make it to the playoffs again. That’s at least 4-5 games now that were completely decided by poor ref calls.
It’s just not their year. It shouldn’t be this difficult for a seasoned team, at a minimum, to make the playoffs. The injuries killed them. Winning a game against good teams is just too much for them.

The Panthers are too slow. They also need shooting practice and why are there two or three Sabres rushing the Panther with the puck? If two or three players are on the puck carrier then there is a serious Panthers coaching issue.

Goaltender interference is so subjective and random but I was convinced that was GI.
They passed up too many chances to shoot tonight. CV needed to get a puck on net instead of turning it over and maybe this game goes to OT
Losing is obviously disappointing, but it’s extra disappointing because of how many of these games feel like they were determined by a bad call.
Still plenty of time to be a bottom 10 team and get a juicy pick. I think this shaves it down to like 5 or 6 games we “can” lose before definitely not making the playoffs.

i see a lot of people here mad over the GI call, but what about carter verhaeghe? bro tries to back pass on a rush while he has an amazing chance and turns it over, leading to the buffalo goal. then he loses the board battle and that leads to the empty net goal.
