Cowen is playing tonight i saw first time in a month for him. If leafs are not to play him then use him as a trade peace for a defenseman

So a trade is going to make them better? Lol. You always talk as though trading is the way out of this. I remember the dynasties like Montreal, Boston, the Flyers and the Islanders. The one thing they almost never did was trade.
What don't you guys understand? You want the leafs to trade players like McMann, OEL, etc… but then they'll take those "Assets" they get back, and trade those for players like they just traded away…. doesn't take a genius to figure this out. It all smells.

I'm a Habs fan and I want a strong Leafs team, a strong Boston team, etc, etc. hockey is more fun. Think something like this happened to Montreal, we had a mediocre team, but the place was sold out every night so nothing was done . . . . . until attendance started to decline and then they woke up. I thought Pelley was going to shake things up, but management seems to be a bowl of Jello and I truly do not believe Matthews is a good captain. There is a reason TSN is referred to as Toronto Sports Network !

Going back to the pre-season predictions that these guys made the only conclusion that can be made is that they know absolutely nothing about hockey.
I’m in agreement the team needs to sell at the deadline. However, the management and coaching needs to be wiped out. The mishandling of players and assets the brutal coaching decisions boggle my mind. Nobody has said this, but Reilly and Matthews have taken nose dives since Berube came to town.
Keep mathews?? 1 goal last ten games( season on the line) minus 11 second half of the season. 0 goals in the 3 games that mattered at the Olympics. 0 goals at 4 nations. He is the problem.

Adam Fox, a guy who couldn't make Team USA for William Nylander, the only Swede who generated offense in every game, is an insane trade.

The mathematics in the standings this season are so bizarre. Vegas, first in their division, 28 wins. Leafs, dead last in their division, 27 wins.

But sweaters selling great, beer by the truck load, ticket prices going up and corporate types snap them up. People think they are just swapping out a bottom 6 forward and a 7th defensemen and changing the coach again, from carrying the cup.

Priorities
