The Oilers lost too much talent. They are burned out from the Cup runs two years in a row. The coachkng has not been good. If they make the playoffs, they will be bounced esrly.
It seems like it has been such a long time we have talking about Nurse being a problem. There is no solution it seems.
Thanks, Austin. Congratulations happy to have been here since before. We were 5000 strong. How many people do we have here this time of year three years ago? 3K 4K. Yeah nurse has been a problem for far too long. He’s not the only problem, but he’s a big part of the problem and we need to find a way to make our problems disappear.
On that play, not only was Nurse looking totally opposite direction of the puck but he was covering absolutely nobody and of course the guy directly behind him WITH the puck was the one who burried it. How many games is Nurse going to be the primary culprit in giving up a goal, he is complete liability out there and that's not even accounting for his penalties.
Firing Knoblock, replacing the GM, getting a new Dman – all that stuff doesn't matter the Oilers HAVE to get this guy off the roster; even if that means scratching him everygame until he moves his no trade and the salary cap increases so we can eat 90% of that contract to make it even viable for anyone else to take him.

I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again, oilers need a full rebuild in my opinion. Like FULL REBUILD, like basically nuking half of the players off and just getting almost an entirely new team. Clearly what they are doing isn’t working. Mcdavid and the few other stars aren’t always enough to carry the entire team. I also feel like this has been a problem for quite some time and no one has done anything about it. Tbh it probably cost them the cup. They need some big changes.

Nurse was in on 7 goals against in these 3 game road trip. Need to minimized nurse minutes as he is too much of a liability. 3 left d or move to 4 lw or press box for a game or 2.
Mangipane makes a turnover benched when he was playing well. Taking about taking a players confidence away. That makes sense.
Nurse can play like garbage and his confidence is shot. He can make 10 errors then maybe he gets to miss a shift . No accountability.

IMO the underlying problem is there are too many "friends" on the team. What this does is makes it impossible for management to do what needs to be done – move some of the players who are friends with McDavid and Draisaitl. Because, apparently, McDavid has a say on personnel. Continue to handicap the team's success, McDavid, because your friend is going to be butt hurt he got traded. Decide NOW, do you want a Cup or not? Katz needs to get rid of Jackson, Bowman, Knoblauch, Stuart and tell McDavid he's a superstar hockey player not hockey operations and get some people who actually know hockey operations. Too much nepotism leads to failure EVERY TIME.
