@Wild du Minnesota

Donnez du sens à cela…

Erickson Ek est le meilleur à 49%. Yurov est au plus bas à 39%. Je ne suis pas sûr que Yurov soit un joueur de centre à ce stade.

    Yurov is a rookie so take that with a grain of salt. If you look at the best faceoff centers they are vets. You learn more on player’s tendencies as you play. As well that’s why the Wild are targeting a high pct faceoff center in the trade market.

    During a game at the Olympics the US won something ridiculous like 10 faceoffs in a row and I joked with my buddies I didn’t know that was allowed in hockey. It’s been an issue for as long as I can remember.

    I know this is to show how bad the Wild are at it, but damn if the Sabres aren’t at another level entirely. Wow!

    Young centermen usually aren’t good at faceoffs. I’m pretty sure one of the older players said that the art of the faceoff is learning just how much you can get away with without being kicked out, it’s very much an experience thing and the older players typically aren’t better at faceoffs barring a few exceptions.

    Face-off win rate has to be the least impactful stat that takes up the most amount of talk.

    This is your reminder that, overall, face-off win percentage doesn’t impact games. It can matter for individual circumstances, but they basically all wash out over the course of a season

    Hey look at that, the back to back Stanley cup champions still sitting at one of the worst face off teams for the past several years.

    Winning face offs would of course be better than not winning face offs, but I’m telling you, you can be very lousy at face offs and still be an incredible team.
