It’s truly shocking how bad Kasper is this year, in terms of total net rating he’s in the 0.09th percentile.
What’s even more shocking is Albert Johansson is *worse*, he’s in the 0.05th percentile.
Just saw Todd’s presser. So thankful he’s the coach.
Despite EP40 not being the player he used to be he’s still an upgrade to any center not named Larkin.
Yeah the contract sucks but between the rising cap and the money moved out in the trade it’s not the end of the world.
Supposedly the ask is pretty reasonable because of the terrible cap hit.
After a shit show of an outing against one of the worst teams in the AHl the Griffins bounced back and won 6-2.

I’m not gonna overreact to a loss against what is clearly a better team, but Montreal, Buffalo, and Ottawa all winning is rough, even if Washington losing is also good and Boston lost too. I’m pretty bummed about how Kasper has been playing tho. I remember before the season started, Todd said Kasper (and Danielson) reminded him of Zetterberg, which had me very excited, I just hope he can get back to that level, I think he can, but we really need him to get going soon
While I am an Yzerman guy; it is on Yzerman that has pieced this roster together. Ras, Copp, and Compher are for the most part… dead wood. We do not have players that forecheck a lot. We have two young players in Kasper and Finnie who hit more than those 3 players. On another note, I know GR is in the PO’s, but I think the Red Wings can use a forward from there. But we know it is not happening. Personally, I would have played Wallinder over the 4 games before the Olympic break and at this stage, I would call-up MBN or Eduards Tralmaks. Neither will happen. It just may be that not much is done in the way of trades. I am not saying that Yzerman is not trying by any means.
