Great teams are tough, but they have no goons because goons can’t play. There are no fights in the playoffs.
Get a bottom pair D that CAN play and be trusted. It isnt Xhekaj or Struble unfortunately.

But with that being said, it was just one game. Not enough to disprove the prevailing belief.

But let’s not forget we got dummied last year in the playoffs and they beat us twice before this year. No need to gloat after one game.

IT was time the tide turned, honestly getting steadier goaltending and more breakout speed in Newhook (+Guhle) has changed a lot of things for us, you can see what kind of nigthmare matchup we can be for a lot of teams, problem is when one of these guys go down we look soft and intimidated.

I’m working on building a workout/play space in my basement for my sons and was half watching the game last night as I was doing some wiring and clean up so that they could play down there today. Had the game on the TV down there but had the volume off since they were asleep upstairs.
Kept eyeing the game – “ok that was badass by Caufield, but we gotta be careful”
“Oh ok tight game, gonna go put my tools away and get a drink so I can finish the game in peace”
“Oh what the fuck when did we get 6 goals?!”

our offence was deadly all night, the return of Dach and Newhook makes us much harder to play because there is speed and skill on the top 3 lines, and helps cover over our defensive weaknesses. Shoutout to Hutson tho, his defensive game continues to improve and guhle being back to full health definitely makes us heavier around the boards, which helps reduce our issues in getting rid of sustained pressure in the D zone.
