  1. I hear some talk about Elias Pettersson. If Vancouver will not retain, then the Canucks are going to have to accept a LOT less in trade. The Red Wings COULD trade for him and Detroit COULD take him at full salary, but the return would not be much. I would offer a 2026 second, and 2028 second, and prospects Alexandre Douchet (C/W), Ondrej Becher (C/W), and Shai Buium (LD), plus NHL player Travis Hamonic (RD) to make the salary work. Maybe Detroit could sweeten the offer by adding prospect. Amadeus Lombardi (C). If Vancouver does not bite, walk away – the Red Wings are NOT desperate to add EP40 to the team.

  2. If Myers was still in the cards, we’ll know by tomorrow morning. As I’ve been sayin for 3 months now, and Myers proves it, SY loves to fill out his role players on D, with size. So look for tge Stanley, Bahl, Oleksiak types for 4, 5, 6 roles, unless it’s an OEL type. A former top pair guy

  3. chill out gentlemen there is absolutely ZERO chance Yzerman offered a 2nd round pick for Tyler Myers unless there is more to the deal. it is highly unlikely Yzerman would even give up a 3rd round pick for him. Yzerman could have had JVR 2 seasons ago at the deadline for a 6th round pick and didnt make the move so what on earth makes you think the "reports" are true? its nonsense. Hes trying to make a move for LOW COST so that he doesnt HAVE to make another move on defense if he doesnt like how things shakeout on deadline day he doesnt end up overpaying just to make sure Detroit has a viable playoff blueline.

  4. Don’t be surprised if they do some work on their bottom 6 too. Adding a Nic Roy, Martin Pospisil type. Even a Paul Cotter or Namestnikov. Players Wh get their nose dirty. Scott Laughton maybe. Compher is the ultimate jersey guy out there.

  5. Both players were watching the puck. Edvinsson picked up Tkachuk coming at him, so he stepped into it and raised his arms, but if he hadn't done anything they'd have still collided. How is that interference? Isn't Edvinsson entitled to the space he takes up? Is he supposed to get out of the way? I can easily see an argument for not calling Simon for anything but the fight.

  6. The 5v5 play is alarmingly bad, even with a good position in the standings; this level of bad play is unsustainable to getting to the playoffs, let alone trying to win a series.

  7. Tkachuk ran into Edvinsson. Ed saw him coming and just didn't move. That's coincidental contact I'll take the interference call for the overall result of the play, but it shouldn't even have been a penalty upon review.

  8. Speaking of Rasmussen, we are still searching for a top 2 C for what seems like eternity now because when we finally had a high draft pick in a draft deep in C prospects our GM bonehead Kenny Holland took Ras #9 overall over Vilardi, Necas, Suzuki, Thomas and Norris. Leave it to Bonehead Kenny to have his pick of the liter and he takes the absolute worst player possible all because his "bigger is better" philosophy so he took the useless f'ing giant and the rest of the guys turn into the exact C's we are still searching for🤦‍♂

  9. What we're doing is not sustainable guys. We can't score. Love Gibby, but we cannot compete with the top of the east yet unfortunately
