    > “Coach is coaching to win, whatever he decides I respect, » Pettersson said. « I’ve got to be better. »

    Saved you a click

“Coach is coaching to win, whatever he decides I respect, » Pettersson said. « I’ve got to be better. »

There you go, that’s the article

  3. NearbyClub4717

Spoiler: he says « I have to be better » for the 10,000th time in the past two years.

    What a dumb click-baity title

He spoke almost immediately after being benched, I dont know what silence he was breaking

  5. Codefendant1130

This guy was the problem all along, sucked a bunch of cap space from one good season and is not worth 1/3 of what he is getting paid.

  6. EuphoricWorker9112

It’s like a switch tripped. Just like that. I remember how electrifying he was, I just don’t understand what happened.

  7. HonestDespot

Despite not having the results to back up the words of nothing else he hasn’t shied away from his needing to be better and that he’s part of the problem

  8. AmericansAreRotund

He’s clearly lost a stride, but this organization has done him no favours.

  9. ToothPlayful770

Cant really expect him to say anything else but we really dont care about words at this point, we need some actual improved play.  Revenge tour? Remember that?

Vancouver needs Boudreau or Deboer. A real coach. Who has systems and experience.

It has a bit to do with his injury (possibly mismanaged) and alot to do with whatever the fuck happened in the room last year.
Sure he might try, might even try hard. But that doesn’t mean he cares. HE DOES NOT CARE and I think it has alot to do with whatever happened in the room last year, it sucked the energy and vibe out of the whole team. Petey just decided he’s better off signing here, in one of the nicer city’s in the NHL and riding it out. Anyone that tells me he cares has never played somewhat competitive hockey.

Dogshit clickbait, wow he really ‘broke his silence’ on that thing that was said last night. I can’t believe it took him…less than 24 hours to dole out a platitude (and I’m a Petey supporter).

    What a nothing article.

This is a public service announcement

Sporting News is not for anyone who follows sports.  They are a tabloid like National Enquiror that just publishes sensational titles with no substance.  If I see an article that looks interesting, I always look to see if Sporting News published it.  If yes, I move on.

This is a public service announcement

« Breaks silence » and it’s just the quote he gave directly after the game to Drance. What silence?

  15. WhaleBird1776

    > coach is coaching to win

    Coulda fooled me

  16. I_Am_Kevin_Federline

« Breaks silence »? Yoy mean his post game comments? What a joke of a headline/article

  19. YAMWRAP

I mean, he’s been saying he has to be better, for what, over two years now?

  20. Resident-Ad4666

Living proof incentive based contracts should be the norm.

  21. HDXHayes

I feel like this could have been a tweet.
